let’s correct a titular misnomer straight up: the rollingviewis less ocean & more stillwater dam...but totally captivating & i like its ambition. i believe in you dam, fake it til you make it! we found this a nice place to linger over brunch, as did guests from the onsite accommodation. not sure why we’d expected fine dining - it’s actually casual in feel & ambience which we liked. pricing however tends towards the higher end.

the creative menu required some tough decisions. my 62 degree eggs were textbook & beautifully paired with soft garlic cloves & delishe whole shrooms. normally i prefer crispy bacon but the thick, smokey, slightly charred slabs suited this dish. cino’s dad’s baked eggs were thoroughly enjoyed, especially the sumac yoghurt sourness. he added bacon & sourdough as sides but the plate really needed that bread to mop up all the goodness - we reckon for the pricetag it should have been included.

looove bubbly with brunch and the estate’s sparkling chards is a nice drop. paying 50c to add 2 raspberries is frankly mean at this pricepoint though, c’mon dudes. waitstaff were very lovely although the lady who rang up our bill was oddly mute. niggles aside, we’d return & hit up the cellar door as well next time. the overall experience was the icing on the cake of a scenic top-down mount mee country jaunt. well worth a visit.

hate to say but i agree with some people who mentioned '' overpriced '' and '' relying on theview''. stuff are nice but need a bit more training as a professional. we have to grab the menu ourselves and they don't know about their wine and food. very nice venue so def nice place for few drinks but wouldn't recommend for food and service if you expect this restaurant to be a fine dining.

i have been to oceanviewmany times now. it’s such a beautiful place for breakfast and lunch. they also do a dinner service but i haven’t had the opportunity to dine yet.
the restaurant is nestled in the hills overlooking the vineyards and a lake.
the service is always fantastic and food is always amazing.
i love in particular their cheese board. the blue, truffle and vintage is to die for.
i believe most of their items are house made too. with a selection of lavosh, quince, and paste there is something to please everyone. i especially love the addition of the fresh honeycomb.
for the beer drinkers, oceanviewbrew their own beers and for the ladies in particular they have concocted a very delicious rose beer which is worth trying.
after a bite to eat you then have the option to walk the grounds or go for a beer/wine tasting session.
definitely always enjoyable dining here.

went here with my partner and an interstate friend on easter sunday. we had pre-booked a table for dinner on their website, which they had kindly confirmed.
we went to the tasting cellar to sample the wines - all tastings were free of charge, all except the viognier used grapes on-site, and scott (the winemaster) was lovely and helpful.
for entree, we ordered a couple of the sourdough breads, which were deliciously warm and toasty, and complimented the spiced butter, balsamic reduction and olive oil dippings.
for mains, we had the chicken, duck and lamb. the duck was beautifully moist and the lamb fell off the fork. my friend enjoyed the chicken too, and was amazed at how crispy the skin was. all portions were decent-sized and were complimented by spiced sauces and vegetables.
for desserts, we shared the ricotta doughnut (which included a bit of table theatre including hot chocolate) and the "beehive" - a gorgeous deconstructed dish including fresh honeycomb (beautifully floral notes, made by the on-site bees), honey ice cream and chocolate dust.
for drinks, we had the ginger beer and the "wattle-we-do" (an ale with notes of roasted wattle seeds).
service was efficient and friendly. the cost is on the 'pricey-end' but reasonable given the location and scenery.
overall, highlights include the duck, the "beehive" and the "wattle-we-do". oceanviewestates is a gorgeous place with good food and drinks, well-worth the 45 min drive from brisbane - and perfect to impress interstate friends or a special date night.
