overrated.

gyro wasmadefrom prepackaged frozen meat and commercially available tzatziki sauce.
feta used in the greek salad was utter garbage quality.

the baked goods looked good and may be worth checking out. perhaps that's why this place is hyped up.

this place is awesome. it's a quaint little joint tucked away from busy preston st, but it should definitely not be ignored!
their loukoumades are to die for; soft and pillowy with a nice crisp outside. i tried both the traditional honey coated ones, but also a cinnamon sugar version that they had (think beavertails). both are delicious, i would come back here just for these.
i also got some baklava, which was fresh and so fragrant. it wasn't too sweet like some other baklava that you might've tried and most definitelymadein house each day.
great service, great food, most definitely worth a visit

love this bake shop!. delicious fresh pita wraps! order it with extra tzatziki. it's homemade and the world's best...they should seriously consider bottling it! couple it with an extremely fresh salad - i personally enjoy the village salad - and you have a full meal. but save room for the "greek honey balls" - loukoumades. order a batch early as they aremadefresh and to order. finish the meal with a truly unique coffee...try the fredo cappuccino - it is quite a pretty drink!

delicious everything and friendly service. my boyfriend and i live very close and go there at least once a week. everything we have tried on their menu is amazing. their gyros and pita wraps are tasty with a generous amount of meat. their desserts, which are homemade, are absolutely delicious, from their cheesecakes, cupcakes, baklava, to their biscotti, you will be glad you didn't skip on the dessert. had their hot chocolate for the first time and it was perfect, they make it with ghidelli (spelling?) chocolate, and it was yummy. also, if you like iced coffee, they have an amazing iced frappe coffee which ismadewith greek coffee, you will be amazed. there are two younger female staff who are delightful. we absolutely love coming here and look forward to trying everything on their menu.

yesterday afternoon i was looking for a delicious mid afternoon snack. while in the area i found the nutty greek bake shop ( 490 rochester street, ottawa ). upon entering the shop just down the street from beech street burger , i notice the tidy bakery with a friendly person behind the counter welcoming me with a smile.  being three o'clock the lunch rush was well past so there was time to chat.  turned out i was being served by the owner, anna. i inquired as to what type of teas she offered.  she went through about eight different types, but the first or second stuck in my head, morrocan mint. of course there had to be something to nibble on if a true afternoon tea was going to be had.  i gazed through the all the tempting temptations in the display case. hmmm...so many choices....  the carrot cake style cupcake with the swirl of frosting on the top caught my eye.  something about it justmademe salivate. the order : 1 large morrocan mint tea and a carrot cake muffin. anna poured the

simply fabulous. if you're craving sweet and/or savory, this is the place. from a perfectlymadeand tasty fresh gyro to the range of greek desserts, including a backlava cheesecake, this is it! i stopped in again last week just after the lunch rush. my chicken wrap wasmadefresh and this time i opted for the greek quinoa salad instead of the cheesecake! ;) great salad! great lunch!
