great tasting food and a variety on the menu. the setting is pretty and it's open, so great during he day. we had gone for lunch.
it's a familyrestaurantso it can be rather noisy with kids about.
3 star because the service wasn't up to scratch.
kept having to look for our waitress. they seem to just stand huddled in one corner chatting and not paying attention. that was very disappointing.

love the feel of thisrestaurantand the buzz on this friday afternoon was nice. our party of three decided to try the lunch specials. t-bone steak with chips and a stella for r99 and the rump and chips for r69 ... our first round of steaks all arrived overdone but was promptly replaced. the rumps where delicious juicy and tender (really well worth it) but i tried abit of the t-bone and thought it was really chewy. service was not bad, but not great either. frozen margarita and the crispy squid heads where amazing !!

this place has a captive audience as it’s right on waterfall estate’s doorstep, and a great playground for kids. we go there often and will be back, but i’d love to enjoy an improved experience. the service is so slow. the waiters are very friendly but not attentive. therestaurantcan be quiet and the food will still take over 30 minutes to arrive. i have had their sushi twice and both times it was stodgy, the pieces are not bite size and the batter on the tempura prawns was chewy and doughy not light and crispy.

found this lovely spot by luck as i was frantically searching for a child friendlyrestaurantaround midrand with great food (not many places can get this combination right!). anyway. arrived for late lunch and it bring a greek eatery we did the meze platter. must say the bad was;
- disappointed by the size of the lamb chops
- i had a 7 month old and was hoping as a child friendly eatery the least they would have is mash potatoes or sweet potatoe
-instead, got not so nice(i'm being nice) roasted vegetables. the sweet potatoe was so hard that i couldn't even mash it. the butternut was edible. as for the rest of those veggies; just awful.

overall a nice spot.

i decided to pop in for a quick lunch on a friday afternoon with my friend. thisrestaurantis basically mythos with a few additional options on the menu such as pizza. 

the ambiance here is really great, relaxing and perfect for meetings or to spend time out with family and friends.

there is a good variety of vegetarian options on their menu such as the halloumi wrap which i settled on as it was also on a lunch special. my meal with accompanied with some fresh chips on the side. the wrap itself was very tasty, halloumi came grilled (as per my request), was not salty and just had enough sauce in it.

for dessert we tried the baklava which was a good portion and came with a small blob of vanilla flavoured ice cream on the side.

the service and overall experience here was good. i will be visiting again in the near future.

why do people still wonder...or look bothered when you look this hott and rock up at arestauranton my own? i just want to have a nice glass...or 3 of wine and some good food by myself - very important. anywho... first time at nostimo by mythos and i was happy. a mix of flavors and a table full of eats, exactly how i had imagined it😋service was good, manager was nice and my waiter tasiyiaa (which means to be left behind) honest 😁. lot of food...but delicious. great spot for a lazy afternoon and a nice way to end the year

thisrestaurantbelongs to the mythos chain from what i heard, it definitely has a similar vibe and the food is just as amazing.

easy-eating coupled with delicious food and great service is why i love this spot.

been wanting to try this place for some time as i have enjoyed mythos at design quarter. sadly this one doesn't come close. it's called nostimo, but had a spur feel to it. dozens of screaming babys all over the place. no problem with that, but we just weren't expecting arestaurantin the same vein as mythos with such hussle and bussle.
over and above that, the food was underwhelming and all the food in the meze platter we ordered was mostly bland and the prawns were cold.
therestaurantis big with no real ambience and felt like i was sitting at a well decorated chain restaurant.
sadly i won't be returning. on the positive side, the service was neutral, but efficient.

we’ve been waiting so long to go and eat at this much raved aboutrestaurantand we really should have skipped it.

the starters arrived in dribs and drabs, and to be perfectly honest, they were sub standard. the squid heads were really rubbery and oily, the kefalotiri saganki was terribly rubbery and dry – i won’t even go into detail about the pickled octopus… the pita bread was fresh, and the tzatziki was ok.

main course we kept it super simple, beef yiro in pita. my yiro arrived cold, tasteless, and not to the standard one would expect.

the medium coffee was good.

definitely not a “nostimo” experience.

nostimo has become our regular friday night 'spot'. my 4 year old daughter loves the play area, and the fact that she can make new friends in the play area.

as vegetarians we have never been disappointed at the offering or quality of food. our 'regular' veg platter is always freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. service is attentive however requires some patience when therestaurantis full.

worth the visit and definitely book on weekend evenings and lunches.

this a really lovely restaurant, especially if you have little children with you as they have a nice play area outside..

i must say the food took pretty long, party due to what we ordered but also because therestaurantwas packed.. we went on a friday, i would strong recommend making a booking as we almost didn't get a table due to how full it was..

everyone at my table had seafood so that's would suggest trying when going here!

we had dinner here on friday night and really enjoyed it. the setting is lovely and it's nice to find arestaurantthat doesn't overlook a car park, which has become the norm in jhb these days. the food was really good, without necessarily being absolutely amazing. the menu was fairly wide with lots of different choices. the wine list is standard with the general wines that you can buy in bottle stores. it would be nice to have one or two unusual choices, but it's not really anything that worries me. the service was good, and the manager did come around and check on us. the only slight negative for us, and we are in the minority here, is the kids play area. whenever you have one of these it means noise - children crying, screaming, running around, and for us personally, that's not something we enjoy when we go out. but for those who like to go out with their kids in tow, you'll be very happy with the kiddies area. would we return? oh yes, their meze and casual dining is definitely worth another visit.

a great space and a rare johannesburgrestaurantwith a view. whilst the menu has all the predictable greek favorites - i did not find that the food preparation and presentation was up to those of their competitors. excellent service unfortunately did not compensate for the lacking meal and in a city with so many options, you're bound to find arestaurantwith a view elsewhere.

i always get so excited when a newrestaurantopens close to home. i was told that this one has a great vibe in the afternoon. however i ventured here for breakfast. it's a wonderful open airrestaurantwith playing area for kids. i had the nostimo crumble...eggs, feta, halloumi (i chose not to have the bacon)...it was really good...will go back there again for this dish. also had the baklava which was delicious.

lovelyrestaurantwith open space and modern finishes. we were served by a lovely waitress however, all staff were very friendly, food was served quickly and hot. management were present and checked up twice. if you're not into greek they offer a lovely pizza section. gelato ice cream is a nice treat for after!
