surprisingly great. i have to say that i'm not a huge fan of the emeril franchise... weird combinations like ketchup on steak doesn't make for either interesting "tailgating" food, nor does it make for cutting edge gourmet... but on our last visit to nola, i was blown away. every person i brought felt that they had one of the best meals in memory...bbq shrimp, shrimp and grits, buttermil fried chicken.. outstanding.

and, the service was friendly, omnipresent, and yet appropriately removed from our conversations.

here's to terrence massey (nice name!) and your nomination as the best waiter i can remember having in the french quarter.

absolutely fantastic!. this restaurant is probably one of the better emeril restaurants and it's amazing! started with baked oysters that were out of this world, a duck special that was cooked to perfection, and finaly creme brulee that was phenomenal. must try!!

try everything!. our table all ordered small and agreed to share. what a great choice because i was able to sample everything. i can't say a bad word about it. everything was delicious. and the way everyone at the table is served at the same time is very unique. i'd go back again - in fact i was there for a long weekend and went twice!

far better than emeril's other restaurants. trust your waiter for selections. maybe our favorite new orleans restaurant. well worth $40/person.

everything was good but my steak. lucky for me that we were all sharing our food, since everything else was excellent -- my "medium" steak was burned on the outside, to the point of being bitter, and very rare on the inside. i'll even let their non-response (other than taking it off the bill) pass. i should just finally learn my lesson, and depend on steaks from outback, no matter how tempting the specials are elsewhere.

the best salad ever had. i stood outside as they did the opening ritual which they copy from walmart....got me in when there was no reservations.....had a walnut apple butter lettuce salad that had a touch of balsamic vinegar and it was spectacular...the fried chicken was awesome...but the salad...was the best,,,,came back a year later and got a seat at the grill and met the manager who gave me an autographed book and some great conversation with awesome dinners....go there no matter what ...it is worth it to wait

no no's at nola's. this was a great experience every time i have been...you are treated like royalty and the food is fantastic...had a apple butter walnut balsamic vinegar salad...out of this world...got autographed book....got great foodie experience...one of the top 20 in my experience

a must if you are in new orleans. my wife and i have been to nola's 4 times. the food and service was outstanding and always consistent. don't be afraid to roll the dice and try anything on the menu-you won't be disappointed. we've tried the salads, steak and gumbo's-all excellent. i was daring enough to try the duck confit and fried egg pizza was blown away by emeril's creativity. it is now the first thing i order when i am in town.

casual upscale. at nola, emeril lagasse has relaxed his usual "bam!" approach, and has come up with an upscale yet relaxed gem of a restaurant. the food here is often based on creole comfort food, all with unique twists. the standout menu item is the roast duck- tender, juicy and delicious! some of emeril's twists on flavor combinations are strange, yet still work (chicken wing appetizer and duck liver appetizer). all of the portions are huge and you will not leave hungry. the service is a tad bit too relaxed for my taste and it is a bit pricey, but when you consider the quality of the food as well the portion sizes, it is well worth the price. for dessert? try the chocolate bourbon pecan pie. it is wonderful!

emeril's more casual spot. contemporary creole. emeril's more casual joint. sat-sun 11:30-2pm. daily 6-10pm. http://www.emerils.com/restaurant/2/nola-restaurant/ service was outstanding : a+. food very good. the menu was somewhat short, fairly creative. while everything was competently executed, nothing dazzled. the appetizer giant chicken wings stuffed with shrimp, pork and leeks with a soy based dipping sauce was weird and very good. my rib eye was good. the redfish was very large and well seasoned and garnished. café au lait was excellent. we were on the 2nd floor and it was hip and pleasant but unremarkably decorated. service was fast but unhurried. those with allergies beware - fully half of the dishes contained large amounts of nuts. a hair pricey - sharing one appetizer, no dessert, no drinks at all, dinning for two costs $110.

try the duck! it takes 3 days to make and it shows. the service is great and it is all worth the price.

awesome!!. all you have to say is emeril's resturant. the food is amazing and we have to go here everytime we visit the french quarter. always a great time

recent experience. this is one of our favorite places for an expensive meal. the service is top notch and the food consistantly excellent. its not a dress up place, cc casual is ok.

chief's bar seating can be very entertaining.

bam!. we enjoyed our visit to emeril's restaurant and were not disappointed. the drinks, service, atmosphere, and food were absolutely wonderful.
