noaa social dining is a premium fine dine restaurant and bar located in the same property as yu hotels at candolim, goa.
the restaurant catches attention of each individual who passes by from here. the restaurant has a mesmerizing bar set up and ambience is too beautiful.
i visited the restaurant with my wife for thursday night date. we were attended by captain named donita. who was kind and graceful throughout. she served us promptly throughout with smile and happiness.
we were delighted to have chef valerian met us in person and recommend us his signature dishes. chef was kind and understanding and was also flexible to customise the taste as per our taste buds.
if you check the menu. there is a great variety and wide spread in menu options. from bar bites to sushi-dimsums, pizza to appetizers and scrumptious main course and desserts. you name it and they have it in the menu.
we started our meal with chilly basil prawns and chicken cafreal kulchettes. chilly basil prawns were jumbo sized. deep fried with a puffy batter tossed in chilly basil sauce and veggies. the taste was absolutely soothing. we loved it.
chicken cafreal kulchettes was an innovative dish by the chef where goa meets north india. basically it was stuffed kulcha with a thick stuffing of chicken cafreal which tasted flavourful and delicious.
we were happy to meet skillful bartender rajan who understood our drinks preferences and made best of cocktails for us. smoked old fashioned and manhattan were highlights in the drinks. both had a base of whiskey scotch. skillfully prepared by rajan who was no camera shy. were recorded him skillfully preparing drinks which we would upload on instagram.
for sides we had ordered peri peri cashews which paired up very well
must mention server sudip was prompt at service too.
moving to the main course we had seafood laksa noodles. which tasted in the same line as our traditional khow suey. it has sea food broth, spiked coconut, lemongrass, galangal, sambhal, prawns and boiled egg. it was a soupy main course with boiled noodles with a coconut milk base and lots of richness in flavour.
then we moved to final main course order which was chef's special. chicken katsu rice, which was basically japanese curry served with fried chicken and sticky rice. it was a new dish we tried and we really liked it. we wouldn't mind tried it again.
we ended our meal on a sweet note with noaa's darrk and chocolate coconut ice. noaa's darrk was twisted gooey choco lava cake and chocolate coconut ice was my favourite. it as basically a chocolate mousse with a flavour of coconut. smooth and yummy.
quality of the food was sublime and quantity was generous too. good taste, good service, beautiful ambience and amazing drinks.. couldn't ask for more.
overall an outstanding experience for me and my wife. happy to meet such a cool staff who served us with happiness and gave us positive vibes.
will surely visit noaa again very soon. kuddos to the whole team. cheers!!
