niki's italian bistro

my fiance and i had been moving all day and decided to go pick up an order to go at around 10 pm to eat at home. my fiance paid extra for breaded chicken on his chicken alfredo (as we are aware and pay everytime we come here!) however, we got home and the chicken wasn't breaded. (this was the second time it happened and we were too busy last time to deal with it) by the time we got home and noticed, it was just after 11pm and they were closed. my fiance called first thing this morning and the manager mike says that he was at the restaurant until midnight and he should have called him. (like we are supposed to know) we already decided we were going to call back in the morning and weren't willing to go back out for anything at all last night. period. we were tired. have a 1.5 year old and again.. had been moving all day.

mike was absolutely unwilling to replace this chicken or refund the money we paid extra for the breaded chicken we never got.

i was pissed.. so, i called and asked to speak to the manager and he answers the phone very rudely. just an irritated "hello?!" after realizing he had just spoken to my fiance he started to yell and said that he doesn't have time for this and that he will just remake the chicken. i said, "ok thank you" he got more angry and more irritated as the call continued. he asked if i still had the wrong order or if i ate it all because he wanted to throw it away himself. i said, yes. he continued yelling "do you want the chicken or not?" and i said yes again and eventually i just had to hang up..

i'm terrified to go back. i'm a pretty small young woman and have never been yelled at the way this grown man yelled at me. i'm still shaking. just want people be aware of this man's bad business and serious anger issues clearly he can't control. when he was in the wrong.

mediocre italian food. good for a small town i suppose, but considering the many better choices in the area why settle for medicore? the rolls were great,but everything else tasted like a frozen dinner.

i have been coming here ever since i was 5 years old! all of the people that work here are very nice, and even try to have a little conversation with you. there food is great! especially the pasta! i would recommend this place to anyone who loves italian food!

group of 20 handled famously in this family-owned -operated bistro.. we had a large get-together of 20 friends, so lulu reserved a private room for us. as we ordered from the full menu, i was sure that it was going to take them forever to serve us all. however, the food was out of the kitchen in less than 20 minutes, all at the same time, all orders correct, and all piping hot!

the food was good, but nothing compared to the excellent-and-stealth service we received. we talked for an hour and a half, had a special video presentation and no one even realized that the wait staff was in-and-out to fill drinks and check on any other needs without interrupting. it was just terrific!

velvet voice of michael merrill!. my wife and i ate at niki's with friends last sunday and enjoyed the fabulous velvet voice of michael merrill, who sang christmas and gospel songs - including my favorite, "mary, did you know?" if you have not heard this man sing, you really need to go check him out - plus eat some of the wonderful food at this restaurant.

fantastic weekend entertainment. sat night i heard one of the greatest baritone voices i ever heard. my husband and i have gone to branson many times, and we’ve never heard anyone who sounded better than this guy. we purchased his jazz and christmas cds, and they sounded the same as he did live. he had a very professional appearance, and he sang from his heart, you could just feel it. it made my food taste better. we citizens of this city should come out and listen to this man because this guy is really good. we didn’t even know he was here; he drives in from wichita falls, texas, and sings on saturdays from 5-8 and sundays from 11-2. sundays, he does gospel, as well. if you want to hear a great voice, you need to come listen to this man. his name is michael merrill.

worst food and bread ever!!!!. we stopped for lunch had vodka penne with scallops and i complained when it was set before me that it smelled fishy the waitress just looked at me and the sauce was white and it is usually pink so i asked for a little marinara and she brought both of us a big bowl of it and we found out at check out it was $2 per bowl and the olive oil for our bread was $1 my friend just had alfredo fettichini and sauce was like milk poured over it was very runny and tasteless! needless to say we will not be giving back there!! i will be letting my facebook friends know also!

my family have been patrons of nikki's for as long as they have had the nrh location. when i wanted a place for my husband's 65th anniversary, i chose nikki's. i booked the party at the first week of november. i also confirmed all the details one week before the party. when my 40 guests arrived they did not have my tables ready nor did they act like they even knew we were suppose to be there. i was mortified!!! the
owner michael, told us we could wait 30 minutes or leave. we chose to leave!! i will never darken the door of nikki's ever again. people do not go to this restaurant!!!!!! when they had a small restaurant it was good , but now they have this big new place and they don't know how to manage it. hey michael, get yourself a good manager!!!!! you lost a lot of loyal customers tonight!!!!

new nikki's italian bistro at 5249 davis blvd is awesome! the food was high quality authentic italian. great wait staff. i could eat here every day!

we've spoken of niki's before on the rjg , but there have been some changes since our last update. for one, it appears our loving duo of northeast tarrant county niki's italian bistro's are no longer together (aww). the website, and the menu, are very clear in stating that the nrh niki's is no longer associated with the one in keller. and the other big change is they have moved across davis to a beautiful new tuscan structure that they painstakingly built for well over a year. the strip center location that niki's had been in, for god knows how many years, needed an update badly. the place was, quite frankly, miserable. so rather than gut the 80's style strip mall, they purchased the catfish tucker's haven across the street. and subsequently bulldozed it (i'm sure it was in worse shape than the original niki's! one can only imagine all the fried fish - and cigarette smoke - pew). and proceeded to build a very large medieval italian styled building. bravo! the inte

new location is awesome!. we've loved niki's for several years and the new location across the street from their old restaurant is even better than before! beautiful new restaurant, with gorgeous decor. our dinner was delicious. try the niki's special; chicken and shrimp with fresh vegetables is seasoned perfectly. order a side salad with the house dressing. we always run into someone we know here and that makes it even more fun. congratulations mike and family on your great new place!

messed up the order then over charged me. food was ok but staff is not friendly. big deal for me!!

very disappointed. the rolls were great...but that was it. salad had wilted lettuce, entrees below average. the restaurant smelled like cigarette smoke, and no one offered an explaination. we should have left when we walked in, but the lot is always full...i don't know why! the service was terrible, saw her 3 times and had to go to the host to ask for the check.

owner usually being there, that kind of sounds like the problem. reading the reviews and eating there myself, the owner is terrible. i've had a couple of not great experiences there. if they got rid of the owner they would flourish!
