nic's grill

after coming to okc for work for a while, i began to explore my eating options and recalled seeing this place on ddd. it's a small place, but the burgers are absolutely delicious! if you are new in town and looking for a great burger, this is your place!

outside eatery. at first glance the price of $10 seemed a little expensive for a burger, fries and a drink but this price is comparable to most dine-in restaurants. the wait for two burgers was kind of excessive but the quality of the food was great and being in the center of the myriad gardens while we waited wasn't a negative at all.

best burger in oklahoma. that's all i need to really say! guy was at the top of his game on ddd when he went here!

it's greasy, but hey, without the grease it wouldn't be as good!

go there, you will enjoy every bite!. a friend of mine continued to tell me the merits of nic's until today when i finally had the occasion to try it for myself. it was great! burgers and fries are top billing; furthermore. nic and javon are awesome as well as all of the regulars that permeate this place daily! i was the only 1st timer in the place and i was welcomed to the party by everyone! do yourself a favor, go there, wait how ever long it takes to sit down and enjoy your food and listen to all of the conversations! this is a very special hot spot and it was well worth whatever it cost (which was minimal). tip javon well, he's worth his weight in gold and kudos to nic for such an awesome little place!

okc best!. visited nic's grill 4/19 at 11am, line had just started and i was third to wait. stood outside for about 10 mins & then waited inside for another 5 or so. took my order while in line and then once i sat down waited another 5. altogether worth the wait!! fantastic burger w/cheese, grilled mushrooms & onions, lettuce, pickles, mustard & mayo. service was reasonably attentive as he worked around the room. the place sits maybe 10 or so at the bar and maybe another 10 or so at small side tables. it's cramped but unique. looking forward to another visit and trying breakfast! thanks fellas!

super cool joint. i have eaten here twice and both times have been outstanding. food is fresh and simply amazing. there is always a line out the door but that's what happens when there are maybe 12 seats in the entire place. check this place out.

burgers. best burgers in town along with the best service!

sweet dreams are made of nic's burgers.  hands down the best burger i've had.  

the bad - be prepared to wait, sometimes close to 45 minuets.  i've never seen the place without a line out the door.  and bring cash.

the good - every-friggin'-thing else.  the burgers are to die for.  nic is the nicest and most sociable guy you will ever meet.  i've never seen him in a bad mood.  i'm pretty sure he doesn't even know the definition of it.

unfortunately i've recently move so i won't get to enjoy nic's as often.  but that will only make my future frequent trips to okc all that more memorable.

call in order. i called his phone number from 10;20 untl 11;45, phone rang busy, i think it was off the hook, it would be nice if he took call in orders. not happy

great food. looked up restaurants in okc on tripawdvisor while between amarillo and okc. out of 755 restaurants listed in tripadvisor, nic's grill was listed as #2. it was on our way, so we went there. not at all disappointed we did!

it was a small out-of-the-way diner that had about 14 bar stools and a corner wee table for two. it is open for bfst and lunch, 7a-2p, m-f only. may have to stand in line 25 minutes, but well worth the wait!

i had a huge cheeseburger with a side of grilled onions and order of fresh potato curly fries (ate half). spouse had the chicken fried steak meal with gr bns, real smashed taters, gravy and texas toast. steak was a tenderized cutlet with light crust. others we saw had pork chops that looked wonderful. fried chicken on certain day is supposed to be unbeatable.

the high quality of the meat and fresh sides really sets this place apart. nic and his helper were behind a counter where two of them hardly had enough room to pass by each other... regardless, their service was efficient and pleasant.

really good food with lots of local character. we would definitely go back.

i can't honestly rate this place because i've made two attempts to try their breakfast, but the place is never open during the listed hours. maybe change the hours of operation (here on this site) to reflect reality.

great food. large portions. my heart hurts though. i will definitely be going back. the bar downstairs looks way cool. i had the nic's original. want to try the huge burrito next time.

i'm a food lover and seek out the best food in whatever area i'm in. nic's has the best burger i've ever eaten and the service is top shelf. this place has become my favorite burger joint in oklahoma, and i recommend it full heartedly, even if there is a long line, it's absolutely worth every minute and penny.

hands down... best burger i've ever had! delicious, fresh, and the perfect amount of seasoning. i've been craving it since i left today! if you're in the area, don't miss this gem, because you'll be missing out!

you will, undoubtedly, wait in a long line that wraps around the building but don't leave the line. it is far beyond worth the wait. you might die of a heart attack after you eat these burgers, but you'd die happy and full. nicest guy who owns and operates this place! 10/5 i recommend.
