unique and very good food. it is still a pretty busy place and is expensive for the type of food you are getting but it tastes very good. not quite sure what to compare it to, maybe a little like the porch on knox henderson but that isn't quite the perfect comparison. it is really a unique place and you just have to try it out and make your own desicion about it, but it is worth a try.

where to begin...start with the sausage flat bread. then get the coq au vin & the short rib chop. finish with either the ding dong, the pot de creme or the sundae. this place is unlike any restaurant i've eaten in dallas. also, come during the week when it's less crowded.

nothing fancy about this restaurant when it comes to decor but it doesn’t really need it as it just delivers great food backed by good friendly service . had the specials but going back to try that burger .

in the local area from the northern fort worth suburbs and lucked out on finding this neighborhood gem! amazing ambiance and food and service with a decent wine list. loved the scallops and lucked out with some primo oysters for the evening selections. service was fantastic and friendly! seriously loved this restaurant. wish they’d bring one of their locales to the westlake/roanoke suburban neighborhoods. i’d likely become a weekly regular! delicious!!

this was our first time and we will be back. the bartender was great while we waited for our table. the restaurant is somewhat laud back and the atmosphere is great. the food and service were first class. the appetizers and seafood were awesome. highly recommend.

what a great evening w/ friends! we started out w/ meatballs & asparagus, which were both yummy. for dinner we had the lemon sole, fried chicken, and steak special ~ all were absolutely fabulous. the sides we shared were brussels sprouts, sautéed spinach, and cream potatoes ~ would totally have them all again. dessert consisted of the chocolate lava cake & butterscotch pot de creme, which was the bomb!! oh my word, i won't be able to go back & not have that again! service & ambience were both great! our server, will, was fantastic!!

we were excited to finally try out neighborhood services last night and it did not disappoint. the service was superb and quick. every course was delicious. the little fried asparagus will have us back alone.

one of my weekly spots. the steak frites are out of this world and the voodoo peppercorn sauce takes the dish to the next level. also, pretty much every cocktail is great and the service is amazing.

this is my go to if i want to be sure that i'll love my meal every time. anything with that voodoo sauce on it will just be the best thing you've ever put in your mouth. menu items with voodoo sauce: meatballs (app) and steak frites (entree)... but you just might want to ask for a side to try even if you don't get those items because it's just that good. this is the original location, and it's my favorite as they treat me like i am a family member every time i'm in. trust their specials. scratch cocktails are delish, and i recommend the butterscotch pot de creme for dessert!

i'm a huge fan of the voodoo peppercorn sauce. i usually have to order the butcher's meatballs, and pray someone at the table orders the steak frites and fries, which usually always happens. i usually order from their specials list, but i have tried a few items, which are no longer on the online menu. the fried little asparagus is very good. if you want to try an excellent indulgent salad, the wedgy my way is delicious! i usually split it with someone, which is perfect before a meal. i like how they change up the menu. the lighting is very low, and i like how intimate it feels. the restrooms are quite nice. the service is always excellent. it can be difficult finding the restaurant, so plan ahead. there is valet parking available.

neighborhood services is chef nick badovinus’ first solo effort since arriving on the dallas restaurant scene in 1996. this neighborhood restaurant serving the north dallas neighborhoods surrounding the lovers lane and inwood road intersection has generated great buzz and has quickly become one of the top destinations in the dallas fort worth dining scene. the menu is an interesting balance of offerings i’ll call new american comfort food. there are roughly a dozen appetizers ranging from light and fresh to heavier and savory to suit any palate. entrees seem centered on the premium, hand selected steaks but there are daily specials, daily seafood offerings in addition to standard menu offerings of chicken, pork, etc… there is even a daily hand made pasta offering as well as flatbreads. in short, there is something for everybody at neighborhood services.

buying mousse will never reward consumers the luxury of having nick badovinus’ hair. please do not try this at home. his family must have a long line of seductively wavy blonde hair. his mom and dad were definitely homecoming king and queen at least two times while attending high school. i bet his collar flips without even having that automatic part that makes a collar flip. he’s a biff-looking guy that makes innocent citizens want to go sailing on a windy afternoon in order to watch his hair’s wavy waves… wave. no one around here is being sassy by stating hair facts. being a credible writer means writing all facts, which includes reporting fascinating hair waves. it’s also necessary to share the fact that i’ve lived life for over one year unaware nick badovinus possesses a greek-god-like-easy-on-the-eyes hair style.

awesomehood services. into a warm interior with dark woods and leather, nhs invites you to a comfortable upscale casual dining experience. smallish yet not cramped (unless you're standing at the bar awaiting your table) you select from distinct versions of top quality delicious american comfort food. packed house belies the absolutely nondescript façade that adds a "we found it!" to the speakeasy feel. excellent service delivers a wide range of options that should delight vegetarians, charm pescatarians and supremely satiate the heartiest of carnivores. don't forget to tip the free valet as you absolutely do want to valet. wish my neighborhood was so well served.

neighborhood services (nhs) bar & grill located at preston rd & royal lane is now open for lunch beginning monday, february 20, 2012 . nhs is known as the neighborhood restaurant around the corner that serves delicious staples with a twist. the food is amazing. i highly recommend their macaroni & cheese called three jack & mac . it is truly a taste of heaven in a dish. it is creamy and just what a person needs when seeking comfort food. they use 5 different types of cheese, which is made from quality cheese makers like tillamook cheese . i also thoroughly enjoyed the sliders. let’s hope they have them on the lunch menu. service was impeccable too. from the hostess to the server to the bartender, they were all very attentive and friendly. i noticed how fast the food arrived. this is key for the lunch crowd, so the next time you need to plan a lunch meeting or a place to dine with friends, you better consider nhs . neighborhoo
