napoli's italian restaurant

napoli's. so... just to let traveler's know...napoli'sis an amazing place to eat!!!! i was just browsing and found this website. as a resident of amarillo, the top 3 favorite rest. are on my top list as well!!

pizza by the slice is nice!. i enjoy going tonapoli'sfor lunch & for dinner out with friends. i just recently realized that you can order pizza by the slice & i love that! their cheese pizza is really tasty & i appreciate that i can order a slice of pizza & a salad for lunch & pay less than $10!
the manicotti & cheese ravioli are also good. the water is atrocious, even the waitresses comment about it. they offer bottled water though, which is nice.
the parking situation is less than desirable, but pretty much anywhere downtown has the same problem.

impressive dinner. my family hosted a rehearsal dinner atnapoli'sthis weekend, and we were so impressed with every detail. from the first call to the manager in august, to the last minute change of location - they handled everything with class and ease. their signature bread was hot and full of flavor, the salad was amazing, and the entrees were plated beautifully and were delicious. our true thanks goes to the awesome servers who met our every need. we could not ask for anything more from the best kept secret of downtown amarillo!

meh.. went tonapoli'sfor lunch earlier this week. food was ok, but there was one server who thought it prudent to provide judgement about the dish i ordered even though it was on the menu. thankfully, he wasn't the server assigned to our table; he just brought our food. i guess i would be a little upset with the world, too, if i was a server working in downtown amarillo, but don't spread your severely jaded, wish-i-was-a-hipster-living-in-austin outlook on paying customers.

not good anymnore. whennapoli'sfirst opened downtown their pizza was the closest thing we had to the pizza we love from western ny. (up by buffalo) and we used to get a pizza at least once a week for almost a year, but lately their pizza has really been mediocre and the time we at the pasta, i have to say i could have been happier with a frozen pasta dinner. i got chicken fettucini alfredo and there was no garlic in it period, and garlic is one of the reasons this dish usually works. my sweetie got lasagna and he said the red sauce was bitter and really had no taste to it. therefore, we won't ever go back.

i've been going tonapoli'sfor the food for years. not the service.... the food. service is awful!!!
met some friends at lunch a few weeks ago. we sat on the patio. we each ordered our lunch and basically never saw our waiter again. another man brought our drinks and forgot one. then came the bread. after 45min of waiting for our food i went in to ask when our food would be ready because we were all on our 1hour lunch break and needed to leave asap. his response "my table of 20 just received their food. so you're now my top priority"
last time i checked we were all customers too! just because there wasn't 20 of us doesn't mean jack.
so after another 15-20min of waiting our waiter finally comes out to tell us that our food was still not ready. this is now over an hour waiting for chicken alfredo.
so we told him we were done and were leaving. we were already late for work. his response "what the hell am i supposed to do with all this food?"
we walked out and didn't care what they did with that food. i will never step foot in that restaurant again.

our hotel clerk recommendednapoli'sin canyon, tx and he was right. while having a good menu, they allowed us to ad-lib our dish to create something new. the service was good and the owner stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. the portions were huge so we had the next night's dinner from the leftovers. came back the third night for more good food. next time we visit canon we know where to come for good food (good prices, too).

my love for italian food.... ohnapoli'swas just excellent! great atmosphere, great service, and great food! i also loved the bread twists and marinara they serve complimentary! i ordered the stromboli and it was amazing, extremely fresh as well. flaky crust...mmmm! if you like italian this is your place!

the vickie's special is my favorite. i like the atmosphere, it's very bright (lots of natural light). i think the prices are fair, though they could use a lunch menu, and it's fun downtown establishment. i wish there were more restaurants downtown. the owner is always very nice and oftentimes he stops by our table to say hello. the food is really good, especially considering there are not a lot of italian options in amarillo. i lived in italy for six months and i don't really considernapoli'sto be authentic italian, but i think it's good food for amarillo. the breadsticks (bread circles?) are homemade and very tasty. the vickie's special is my favorite menu item, though they could lighten up on the olive oil.

it's alright, i suppose....napoli'shas a nice atmosphere, but their food isn't that great.

most of the menu items i have tried in the past have been bland and mediocre. the marinara and spaghetti sauces taste like they come straight from the can, and the alfredo sauce tastes like hot heavy cream.

the one entree that is almost always good - the vicky's special.... however, none of the food is "authentic" italian. i don't think any italian people even work there, haha.

best italian restaurant in town.. first time to visit this restaurant, we brought family visiting from austin, tx with us. we were so impressed!.
the food was wonderful and prices are very reasonable.
austin family said they will only come to amarillo'snapoli'sfor italian food now.

awesome authentic. very authentic, from the waiters to the food. i admit from the other reviews i thoughtnapoli'swouldn't be that great, expensive prices for average food cooked by someone who wasnt even italian, like olive garden. but i took the chance and ate here, i'm so glad i did! the waiter was actually italian, with an accent and stories to prove it. the lasagna was great and the tirimusu was terrific. this place is awesome, eat here!

awesome atmosphere!.napoli'sis by far one of my favorite places to eat in amarillo. the atmosphere is phenomenal - i normally get good service (thomas is a great waiter!) i have never had a bad meal there yet - my favorite is the cannelloni. i love taking my friends from out of town here. the patio is wonderful as well - great place to just chill and relax for hours. it's a great place to make some wonderful memories with friends & loved ones.

so so. i seriously wanted to lovenapoli'sbut this place is much too loud, and i'm only 30! the food is mediocre at best, and i think they try to hide bad food with good service. bottom line: bad food is bad food whether its served piping hot in 5 minutes or less, or in an hour.
