just like home! thesaucewas spectacular and not sweet which seems to be a trend. i had the rigatoni with meatsauceand was not disappointed. it reminded me of dining in rome. the atmosphere is romantic and quaint. i'll be back. again and again.

you get what you pay for.. spaghetti with meatballs. thesaucewas from a can, it did not have any flavor, body, consistency or kick. it was bland, runny and plain awful, thrown on top of spaghetti with a side of parmesan cheese from the green canister. even at olive garden the cheese is grated on the spot, from a chunk of real cheese. i felt insulted by the cheap cheese, the unbaked bread and the below par service.
two years ago we went there and it was a much better experience, hence our return. after last night, however, we will never go back. i think the owners have gotten lazy and believe that indianapolis can withstand sub-par italian food. not for nothing we are the fattest state. we value quantity over quality but napoli villa does not offer either. do yourself a favor and choose a business that respects you and gives you quality food.

hands down the best italian in town!. napoli villa has been a favorite for as long as i can remember. start with the toasted ravioli and you'll be happy you did. crisp outside and light fluffy, cheesy inside. perfection! i like to follow with the meatball sandwich. meatballs that practically melt in your mouth and the best redsauceyou can find. definitely not a sandwich to eat with your hands. you'll need a knife and for, but you won't mind because each bite is better than the one before. i must say in more than 25 years of eating at napoli, i don't think i've ever saved room for dessert. it is a great place for a casual night out or for celebrating something special. in the past few years they've updated the interior and it looks beautiful.

great place to dine, staff was nice, service was alittle slow, but maybe due to valentines day crowed. food is great for the price, we had the brecetta for starters. nicely done with olives. for the main we had the filet minion with sautay mushrooms, small steak for a big steak price. spaghetti and meat balls, perfectly done. talapia with a white wine garlic creamsaucean asparagus, the talapia was alittle over done, but thesaucewas delitious. alfredo pasta was great also, creamiesaucewith chicken done perfectly. this place gets a 7.5 out of 10 being the best. i will come back for a second review. we love italian dishes an this is one we're going to add to our list.

if this is the best italian in indy, we are in trouble. calamari was overcooked and oversalted. we had to ask for bread and it was served with a pile of tasteless grated parmesan soaked in olive oil. the gnocci was obviously frozen. the "meat"saucewas runny and the marinara was worse than ragu. luckily, they couldn't ruin the wine.

terrific food. i'm not sure why urbanspoon lists this as a lunch destination only, but the dinner menu is outstanding. lots of choices of appetizers, pastas, and meats, plus an extensive wine list. my favorite? pasta with vodkasauceand the veal saltimbocca.

whatever you order, be sure to order the antipasta salad with your meal. it's fantastic, and that's coming from a person who normally doesn't like salads.

i've been going to this restaurant for years, and in the past the service has been pretty slow, especially on weeknights. however, that issue seems to have improved recently.
