napolese review. not impressed, but not dissapointing- little over-priced..service was excellent except for the male mgr on duty this past saturday (05-08-10)- arrived with a party of 9 and was told rather rudely that they normally don't seat that large of a party, so we were lucky we arrived at opening- should have just left and walked half a block up to noble romans and had as good a pizza andgreatbreadsticks/cheese!

good but overpriced. had the goat cheese and tomato sauce with panini appetizer - this was a 10. amazing tomato sauce and panini bread!

the arugula salad was also fabulous -greatlight oil based dressing with a fresh lemon wedge on the peppery arugula.

i made my own pizza using leeks, wild mushrooms, and taleggio. you could get the blt - bacon, leeks and taleggio, so mine was the same pizza but subbing wild mushrooms for the bacon - for $13. but since i'm vegetarian i didn't want the bacon. however, no substitutions are allowed on the combo pizzas. so, i had to "freestyle" it and paid (literally) $20 for it ($9+$5+$4+$2).

that makes no sense...especially considering of the 11 combos 4 are vegetarian and all 4 of those four are margheritas! (1 reg, 1 w/buffalo mozzerella, 1 with egg, 1 with quail egg) yes, no 'veggie' pizzas (as in pizzas with several vegetables), and no classic cheese pizza. and as we've seen above if you have to do the "freestyle" option you're going to get screwed.

another gripe - they cut the rind off the taleggio. if i'm paying $5 for taleggio, i want it served correctly/authentically/non-sacreligiously and that means with the rind. especially when melted on a pizza with other cheeses.

the service was outstanding. couldn't asked for better. i spoke with them about the rind and they were super cool and understanding and friendly (but probably aren't changing the policy). they even offered that i could call and speak to a certain person ahead of time the next time and they would try to set aside some taleggio with the rind on it. okay, in reality i'm not going to do that, but it was nice of them to do whatever they could to accommodate my concern and i appreciate it.

sun king cans - $6, not too bad but imo a little high.

2 people, 1 app, 1 salad, 2 pizzas, 3 beers = $82 before gratuity. the pizza was very good. but i know a recently opened place with similarly-styled pizzas whose i find a touch better, and my bill has always been at least $20 cheaper there (for two, ordering similarly).

delicious salads and pizza,greatambiance. it was crowded on a saturday night but we managed to get a table for 4 within 15 minutes. excellent service! will come again.

every time i have visited for pizza i've had agreatexperience. service was lovely. i love the thinner crust of their pizzas. good wine selection. my boyfriend and i always get an app (or salad) and pizza to share. and we have never been disappointed. it's busy on the weekends because it's agreatplace with fantastic food.

good but loud.greatpizza, salads and more in a trendy environment. most nights you'll need to shout to your dining companions. loved the olives and salt choices. not a place for an intimate dinner for two.

i definitely recommend trying napolese pizzeria to anyone looking forgreatartisan pizza in indianapolis.

delicious artisan pizza and salads. point blank - if you appreciate "upscale" pizza you can't miss with napolese.

if you think papa johns/dominoes/insert crappy chain here is the best pizza in the whole wide world then you might not want to come here.

i sat outside (last fall) so i can not comment one way or another on the "volume problem" indoors but the outside seating was perfect, comfortable, and the service was flawless.

if you havent yet done this, guys, grab your lady friend, get two pizzas, split a salad, and order a bottle of wine. you'll have variety, maybe some leftovers, a good meal and agreattime!

amazing. i just love this place. i had the smoked salmon artisanal pizza. it was amazing. the atmosphere was so comfortable and warming. we hadgreatservice as well. must go if you love pizza!

called ahead and got on the list and didn't have to wait long. good wine selection to start. had the goat cheese app; would've been better if the bread had been hotter and crisper, but the cheese was yummy. got two pizzas to split among three people and it was a good amount. the casanova delight pizza (prosciutto and taleggio cheese) was just off ... the combination of salty pork and very pungent cheese did not please the nose or the taste buds. but the meridian kessler pizza (italian sausage, aged provolone and mushroom) was delicious! the place has agreatvibe, awesome menu, good wine list, and we were pleased with our service. we will definitely go back!

great pizza. i can't speak to the dine-in atmosphere here, as i've only done take-out--i live in the neighborhood, and frankly the wait's too long for a table for me. but the hamaker corner pizza is fantastic,greatflavor combo and the crust is incredible. pick-up service has always been ready when i show up, no problems. this pizza's named after my family (my cousin used to run the drugstore on this corner) and i have to say i'm proud to share a name with a pie this good. :)
