i would leave zero stars if i could.this was an awful experience. thefoodis awful for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. should have just stayed away from this place altogether. the restaurant should take the advice of the reviewer, especially if there is a trend within the reviews.

appalling service, untrained chefs, threatening staff. i was told it was a 10 min wait, turned out to be 45 mins. asked for starter and main to come together, starters come 10 mins after ordering, upon asking a waiter for the remainingfoodwas told it hadn't been put through the system yet. was also asked from the chef "how well i want the chicken cooked". was told to pay for all sauces. after raising all these issues with owner's brother he lied to my face about how long he told me and was very threatening saying "you don't know who you're speaking" and "stop jumping about". honestly, i have never written a review on a restaurant before, but this was horrendous. was forced to pay forfoodi hadn't eaten and i walked out, trading standards should investigate this place as it violates consumer right act 2015. not one apology from one staff member, rather was ganged up on 4-5 to initially just me. felt like thugs run the business.

first things first. when i visited this place last saturday, i wasn't even coming here. in fact i was on my way to tipu sultan in moseley for a reliable chicken dinner when we were waiting on the red light and saw this place from a distance and found it fancy. we went in there and were instantly greeted by a very cold guy who told us that it'll take 15 minutes to get a table despite 70% of the tables being free (since it was early evening, i assume the kitchen capacity was low and that's why they were making us wait - i'll give this to him). after we get seated and get comfortable and order, it took approximately 10 minutes for thefoodto come. the shahjani murgh that i ordered looked really sad. in the sense that there was no garnishing whatsoever and was served in the most casual manner possible. the naan looked pre made and felt that it was in a freezer 5 minutes ago. it lacked softness and the saltiness that you generally expect from a naan. my friend mentioned that his lamb chops were also okay but could've been made much better. service wise the place was very average and we didn't feel welcomed at any time. the ambience was authentic and nice. all in all, a very average experience for a place that has the potential to do so much better.

we visited this restaurant following recommendation and were absolutely delighted. the venue is fabulous. excellent and authentic decor in a converted church and a really relaxing atmosphere. 

we were greeted by a doorman and ushered to the welcome desk and a very attentive young lady. our table for two was in a lovely area, although all tables were well positioned. we were welcomed but bot pressured into ordering quickly. the menu had a variety of starters and main meals which were slightly different from the usual items you would expect. our meals were lovely. very well presented and extremely tasty. the portions were very generous andfoodreasonably priced. all in all a wonderful experience.

our only negative was having to ask for glasses for our drinks. we took our own wine etc as the restaurant only serves soft drinks. we would definitely eat there again. full marks.

on the same scale as tipu, but i settled for one less - it doesnot quite live up to the charm that tipu exudes. 

food is amazing here - service is a bit slow, but very friendly staff.

less expensive than tipu, but equally ambitious on the scale of bothfoodand ambiance.

i had been with my fren's as i heard a lot about it.. ambience was good..foodwas not good. non veg has the same menu as others but not upto the mark.. veg too didn't surprise me much,

greatfoodand decor. friendly staff . some wait forfoodbut the decor makes up for it. good for birthday parties etc.

the place looks really nice! i like the lighting and structure and layout of the restaurant. theirfoodwas overall good. i was only disappointed from the pina colada. tried their chicken biryani and some tikka grill. it was good and i liked going there especially for the way the place looks!

review: the decor was created with an authentic idea in mind to match thefoodallowing it to be known as one of the 'posh asian' restaurants in birmingham. as a family meal, the price was reasonable as well.
however, the initial queuing and long waiting list is not the greatest start to a meal.
positives: family armosphere, reasonably priced
negetives: too many people

wow i mean the building is amazing... shame about the level of customer service. the staff here disgusted me with their attitude towards the guests here, i mean the waiter actually snatched my plate from in front of me when i told him myfoodwas cold and without saying anything he just stormed off. i didn't bother complaining about him to the manager, as we all do have bad days sometimes but this is no way to treat someone.

thefoodwas good when it was warm the second time around, but the glasses were terribly dirty with finger prints on it and i told a different waiter it was dirty and he just replaced it with one from the other table. without cleaning it he just put it on someone else's table. i was happy i got a cleaner glass but come on? seriously? that could've happened to me thats not right.
disgusting... i will never recommend this to anyone.

total disappointment! i went there on saturday eve to celebrate my niece's 21st birthday and had the most awful experience. i would not go there again!

this was a pre-arranged party and we were given a 'below par' level of service and food. thefoodcame very late, it was cold-chewy naan and pre heated kebabs - certainly not impressed.
the main course was rather tasteless and again served cold.

furthermore the rude waiters then had the audacity to tell us to leave as it was closing time. had they served thefoodon time then we certainly wouldn't have the reason to stay there any longer then necessary. instead we had to eat as quickly as possible as we were literally being pushed out! this is not how you treat customers, no way!

i drove from london to attend this event. this was a complete waste of my time and money, no i certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.
