ms. rose's fine food & cocktails

coolest restaurant design/interior, weird menu. i can't explain it... you just have to see the menu.

there is no homogeneity in the menu items at all. prices are all over the place. i've had a couple of dishes and all of them are made with great care.

the low and high priced menu items are the best. the middle of the road items aren't my favorite.

i hope this place is successful because the interior design is innovative and incredible. this place could be a modern art museum.

go for the decor, stay for the great cocktails, tell your friends they have to go too because the only way to explain the menu is to see it.

indoors was chilly so we asked to sit outside on a beautiful spring day. nothing to do with my review of the establishment but two different sets of parents allowed their four toddlers to run, squeal, fall, cry and basically go wild. rude.

we had boiled peanuts, fried green tomatoes and meat pie. loved the warm salty peanuts! the fried green tomatoes were served with a spread of pimento cheese which i love, just not on my tomatoes. the meat pie was filled with taco meat and was tasty. the empanada style crust was light and tasted fresh. served on cheese grits, it was a strange pairing. the grits were a bit thick but tasted good.

i sense the attempt of innovation but sometimes going traditional is better.

it was just okay.

just went to dinner here last night. loved the design and ambiance of the place. we had the soft pretzels and dirty rice fritters for apps. both were great! the fried chicken was nothing special, but the brussel sprouts were delicious. service was spot on. overall, it was a good dining experience. might go back in a couple of months just for apps and cocktails.

this was our first time here and we will be back. their fried chicken is to die for, so crisp and juicy and tasty. we also had the caprese flatbread appetizer and that could be a meal in itself. spinach and basil pesto, house mozzarella and roasted tomato. very good. stop in for a meal, you won't be disappointed.

absolutely delicious from the mimosa as i waited to the biscuit and gravy and applewood smoked bacon. i will definitely be back here very cool ambiance and friendly service! great local spot

i first tried this place for dinner when they opened. food was excellent and the service was great. i went yesterday for lunch and it was bad. i mean baaaad. tried the fish and chips with slaw on the side. the fish was enormous but tasted like it was covered in burnt bread crumbs and the middle was sushi. that's what i consider raw fish. the slaw was older than my heat lamp fries and probably just as bland. how do you screw up fries? my wife got something with baba ganosh ganous? doesn't matter we won't go back. hers had a sliver of chicken and hot sauce throughout. the service was ok, but the prices! $40 for food that tastes like you ran over to mcdonald's and served it to us was not fair. upgrade your food or lower your prices

my family did not get a to try the food here. when we came there was a 45 minute wait which is fine because when we go out to dinner, most of the time we have a wait. it was not the fact that we had to wait, it was the way we were treated that made us choose not to wait. the young lady at the front (ashley) was very off putting and rude. instead of her letting us know that there would be a wait and take our name down she instead gave me the impression that she was trying to convince us not to wait. she was very rude. it made me feel so bad. my 19 year old daughter was hurt and on the ride home she kept saying that she cant believe that in 2016 racism is still so real. we go out every week and have never been treated like this before. some may say im exaggerating but i am not the one to ever pull the racism card so its a shame that me of all people has to admit that this still goes on.

i've been here once and liked it, so we decided on it for dinner tonight. we arrived around 8:15 to find the parking lot mostly empty, which i found surprising on a friday night. the decor inside is creative and modern, like i remembered, and we were greeted and waited on by a friendly server. we ordered buffalo wings and fish and chips to share, along with a beer for me and a cocktail for my girlfriend. the buffalo wings were a little soggy when we got them, the fish and chips were ok, but the coleslaw that came with them tasted old. my girlfriend did enjoy her cocktail, however, making several comments throughout the two that she had on how good it was. 

we weren't anticipating a "wow" meal, considering the items we ordered were pretty basic, but for $50, i guess we expected something a little more. i can't say we'll never come here again, but it's going to be difficult to do so when deciding between ms. roses and one of our local favorites.

not a fan. tried it out. totally unimpressed. food was mediocre at best, service was sadly the same. won't go back.

great food; great service; great atmosphere. this was our first time dining at ms. rose's. the food was excellent. our server, erica, was exceptional!! definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

this place sucks! i'm sorry, but there is just no other way to put it. first, my iced tea tasted like it had been brewed with coffee still left in the pot, then my wife ordered the gluten free bun for her burger, that on the menu says is a $1.50 upcharge, well, it was really a $2.00 upcharge. just fix the menu... i got the biscuits and gravy, ok, but nothing to write home about (mcdonalds is better). my wife's burger was ordered well done. the burger was bleeding, this burger was maybe rare. by the time the waitress came back, 20 minuets, we were done. just give us the check... we were told " i took the drinks off because of the problems" wow! what a gift. the waitress told the kitchen about the burger so they would know for our next visit. lol.. really? i will not be going back to this place.

awesome!. scrumptious food, pleasant and unique atmosphere, wonderful service! you've got to try them!

half price burger monday! if anyone else claims they have the best burgers in town they're lying.

too expensive for the serving size.. i have to say i ate there twice with my girlfriend because she liked the different type of atmosphere, and it seems to be why the food is so expensive. to pay for the large screen tv and décor!. i would say this restaurant needs to be downtown if they are going to be so high priced.
the pros: the food selections are well prepared from what i had ordered. have good flavor and i enjoyed it.
the cons: too frigin expensive per plate. small portion sizes too. bad location.
i actually had to eat my whole biscuit to get full after my main course. so altogether our meal was $60!! that's way too much when i paid only $37 for my girlfriend and i to eat at carabbas and we got stuffed, which also included a glass of wine. not really worth throwing away a whole paycheck just to eat war rations. not planning on going back again.

terrible from start to finish. i took my dad here for sunday brunch and it was a major disappointment. the hostess immediately forgot about the highchair we needed and we were not greeted by our waitress for quite some time. when we finally met our waitress, she asked us for our drink and meal order at the same visit . . . this isn't a diner - we should be allowed our table long enough to enjoy our drinks before ordering. the meal was ungodly expensive for what we received. my dad ordered a la carte and was charged 14 dollars for 2 eggs, a biscuit, bacon, and a fruit cup. come on!! the bacon was inedible and nearly choked my toddler because it was like rubber. i received the blandest 11 dollar hamburger of my life. they clearly do not do anything to their ground beef as far as seasoning it. lastly, when my dad asked for a refill on his coffee, the waitress grabbed the pot, passed our table, filled 3 other tables before returning to us. all of this while we just watched her in action. unbelievable.
