moon river pizza

everyone on zomato raves about this place so i decided to take my big girl here on our daddy-daughter date because pizza's her favorite food. they were very busy on a friday night. loved the relaxed atmosphere. we ordered the meat lover's, or t-rex, pizza. we waited a good bit but as i said earlier, there was a large crowd so that was to be expected. the pizza came to our table fresh out the oven and extremely hot! once it cooled down enough to eat, we dove in and it was phenomenal!!! i mean, everything about it was on point. then it cooled down some more and the crust became a little tougher than i'm accustomed too. i was very disappointed. because of its high reviews, i'll chalk it up to a rare occurrence and assume this isn't the norm but i'll be back to verify which moonriverpizza is the real one. update 09/24/16: visited moonriveragain last weekend and it's been confirmed for me.....i'm not a fan of their crust. at all. love everything else....the beer, salad, service.....but their crust needs a serious upgrade.

me likey. moonriveris great- great food and good vibes. always good beer on tap. i know this a review of moon river, but if you are eating pizza in the murray riverdale area and even considering going to carmine's misspelled pizza disaster, train your brain to avoid the mental process that led you to believe going to carmines might ever be a good idea and then go to moon river.

awesome. as always, moonriveris off the chain. i love eating here, killer pizzas and always a good selection of beer on draft. cool vibe and all around good time.

hands down the best pizza in jacksonville. while the atmosphere is different from your normal pizza joint, the pizza is amazing. my all time favorite pizza from moonrivercontinues to be the white pizza.

best pizza in north florida. my husband and i love coming to moonriverpizza, especially after a long climbing day. the pizza is never disappointing and the service is always friendly and outstanding. the staff works well together and it shows with the flow of things in this place because its always busy but also super efficient. last night we went we tried a calzone for the first time and it was huge. the guy upfront asked if we were splitting it and when they brought it to our table they had already cut it in half for us to share. the pesto stix are nice for sharing with a group of at least four people, and the slices are never skimpy on size or toppings. the vegetarian pizza is one of my favorites here but i've yet to be disappointed ever at this place. the best part about the actual pizzas is that the crust is never soggy, its nice and crispy where it should be and holds together even under a mountain of toppings.

great after a workout!. my husband and i were invited out to moonriverwith some friends after climbing for a couple hours and were floored! the pizza was probably the best we've had since moving to florida two years ago (if not in the top 5!) the atmosphere was fun but not overbearing and the beer was priced nicely too! for our group of 8 we ordered a couple pies and a few extra pizza slices. plenty of food for us and to take home! they served the individual slices on smaller pizza trays and were amazing! i ordered the pizza by the slice and my husband tried out the vegetarian. sooo good and soooo fresh tasting! staff was great too and didnt rush to kick us out at closing time! (i always hate when i feel rushed out of an establishment when its closing time.)

if i lived in jacksonville i would return, and often. im about an hour away but i will still return and as often as possible!

best pizza in jacksonville. every time i come here, there is a line. that's your first clue that moonriveris the bomb. it's also might indicate that i am not good at planning ahead or showing up at opening time. anyway, i get the t-rex every time even though at any other place i won't order a meat heavy pie. it's all i know, and that's good enough for me. the beer selection is great for a place that doesn't have a bar. plenty of local brews and some good imports. every time i meet someone new to the area, i am sure to mention this place as the best pizzeria in town. there are plenty that are close like al's and dolce's, but moonriveris on another level.

great food. being from brookyln new york i have tasted great pizza. moonriverby far is at the top. if not the best in jax. the environment and the food where great. perfect date spot,

delicious!. moonriverpizza is so good and fresh! the gluten free pizza is delicious and the salads are so great and abundant! definitely a great place to eat and the staff is fantastic and attentive!

sometimes i think because there are so many “below average” restaurants out there that we start to elevate something that is just average itself to the “oh my god, this is the best ever!” i think this might be what happened with moonriverpizza. you probably think i didn’t like the place. i wouldn’t say that, but i wouldn’t say that i “love” it either. i’m kind of indifferent about it actually.

favorite. moonriveris by far my absolute favorite pizza. i loved the t-rex, loaded with toppings. pizza is fresh and delicious. can't go wrong, i would 100% recommend it!

my favorite part of moonriveris the dough is actually hand tossed...not frozen and tossed into a proofer by hand. i used to run a pizza restaurant and have come to appreciate quality product, fresh toppings and atmosphere. you will not be disappointed.

let me tell you something, i love pizza. ive had it from everywhere, i used to work at an airport and we would get food the crews gave us some of the best catering you could imagine, one of the things we would get often was pizza. i had new york style pizza from new york, chicago style from chicago, ive had mellow mushroom, lobster pizza, all kinds of pizza. but the best for me has always been moon river, i been going to the one in fernandina longer then i can remember maybe 12 or 15 years or more, it dosent get old!. i could eat it everyday of the week and not get tired of it, you cannot go wrong with moon river, add in all the amazing local art they have on the walls (which you can buy), get your own drinks. what more could you possibly want from a place? good vibe, good food, sometimes very very busy, moonriveris a 9.9 out of 10.

stupedelicious!! i love moonriverfor their enormous slices, cheap prices, and fabulously tattooed staff. my fab is the maui-wowee hawaain pizza with hot peppers! one slice might not be enough but 2 slices is waaaaay too much so gauge your appetite wisely!

gonna try it today!. was highly reccomended by my friend. gonna try the fernandina location today. jax people do not know good pizza down here, so i will give moonrivera try! why do 99% of all pizza shops put the "toppings" under the cheese??? a pie made that way is called "montreal" pizza. up in montreal, the entire top is smothered with cheese, so u cannot see what the toppings are! but thats how jax folks love their pizza. i'm going to moonrivertoday and try the greek salad, pepperoni, and the mushroom-spinach, and the wt pizza, and micro brews! hope its as good as the reviews and my friends reccomendation! see ya there!

can't get enough. i eat at moonriverat least once a week. the price is just right and the pizza is the best. i always order the pizza. it is chocked-full of flavor and piled high with white cheddar cheese, spinach, garlic and mushrooms. all the ingredients are fresh. you'll find no canned mushrooms or frozen spinach here. i don't think i'll ever eat any other pizza slice that i love more than moon river's.
