i absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. the pizza is never cold, never off. they are consistently on the mark, and have a wide array of selections for the most pickiest of tastes

in the running for best pizza place in jax. there are other great restaurant pizzas like casa dora etc.. but moon river beats pizza palace and arguably al's too.

you can't get good pizza in florida.. let's face it, you can't get good pizza in florida.

when i first moved here, a friend of mine raved about blue moon. she ordered the special pizzas of the day to finish off moving in. they are absolutely disgusting. they used far too many toppings for a much too heavy pizza that was hard to eat and didn't taste good.

i gave the place another try a few months later, and it was equally awful. the crust is bland and the pizzas are bad. i'd rather order from a chain than from this place.

not the best but...... moon river has excellent food and a great laid back atmosphere. their white pizza is very good and the only 2 things i can really complain about is that our app came out with our meal and when i ordered a beer i was told that they no longer carried that kind even though they had a lit neon saying that they did.

of course christopher doesn't like it. he obviously can't handle an artist crowd.

moon river is, by far my favorite pizza in jacksonville and fernandina. there's simply no comparison. while al's is busy spending all their money on a posh atmosphere, moon river uses fresh, delicious ingredients and piles them on. t-rex is the favorite of my family because we're all big meat eaters.

the salads are okay, but could use improvement. if you order a salad, ask for it in a to-go box. the bowls they serve them in are too small.

go and enjoy the art and the pizza. have yourself a good draft beer while you're at it.

lunch rush is not the best time, i'm sorry to say. they get really crowded, really fast. go a little later when it has cleared out, and you'll have a better experience.

it's also good to call in your order if you are short on time or want to eat your delicious pizza at home.

shocking attitude.... i used to defend this place to everyone who pointed out that they had a bad attitude, but now it appears things have reached a whole new level. before you consider eating here, it appears that you must ask yourself whether you're prepared to be treated rudely, yelled at, and then kicked out of the restaurant, like this fellow and his wife were:

i would advise taking a pass on this place. just not worth dealing with this kind of arrogance and attitude.

calzones. went to the edgewood location. the calzone was awesome!!!! and the small salad was good size with fresh mozzarella.
