april2021. rated 5. went here for a late midweek dinner with friends following an online reservation ahead of time.
we ordered the five-course degustation ($120pp) with matching wines (regular at $95pp). thefoodwas impeccable, show-casing fine techniques, fresh produce and perfectly matched with great wine choices. complimentary bread was provided on request to finish off our main meals. the courses were rounded off with complimentary chocolate and melon-flavoured macarons.
service was friendly and efficient. smart, refined yet cosy ambience. prices reflective of fine dining.
overall, a triumphant return to montrachet!

dec2017. rated 5. was excited to book a table for two at this celebrated establishment to celebrate my partner's birthday.
we were promptly seated and brought out menus. after ordering drinks of white wine (highly recommend the 'sancerre'), we got to the meals:
for entrees, we ordered the cervelles d'agneau panees- beautifully crispy crumbed lambs brains and quite a hearty starter, and the coquilles saint jacques- perfectly cooked scallops with enticing accompaniments.
for mains, we had the seafood bouillabaisse- a delicious seafood broth with depths of flavour, accompanied by decadent garlic butter and crispy croutons, and the lamb cutlets - perfectly cooked and juicy.
finally for desserts, we ordered the apricot souffle- impressively light and moist souffle with delicate flavours of apricot, and the chocolat de passion- can see why it is award-winning; beautiful layers of flavours and textures.
our dishes came out all promptly, apart from desserts however the restaurant was full and bustling at this point in time, and we were happily sipping on calvados.
our waiter was marvellously passionate and happily enjoyed chatting in french with my partner.
ambience was fitting for a classy french restaurant.
would highly recommend for date nights or special occasions. we would love to come back to try their degustation menu as well.
