moni's pasta & pizza

such an amazing place for a nice italian dinner! i've never tried something i didn't like! family owned and operated, imo it's a true arlington gem! bring along a bottle ofwineand they'll open it for you and hand you a glass! love it!!

a popular neighborhood gathering spot. moni himself may greet you at the door or schmooze at your table. his wife keeps everything flowing and manages the cash register. expect big crowds on the weekends with regulars like singing clubs or upscale friendly bikers in black t-shirts. kid friendly but not many kids and a lot of gray hair. servers are friendly and efficient, giving folks time to socialize before ordering. even with big groups they seem unflappable and accurate. you'll need to bring your ownwinebut they'll providewineglasses and even lots of ice for those who prefer to drink their redwinelike iced tea. there is a big choice on the menu. a dozen or so each of chicken and veal dishes as well as the usual pastas and pizzas. but everything is bland and needs salt. by far the best are the fresh-out-of-the-oven yeast rolls. huge with crispy tops. big texas-size servings. you shouldn't go away hungry. you should definitely go with friends.

love ourwinewednesdays at moni's. great family owned restaurant. friendly, exceptionally great service and delicious food. we have tried everything from specials to pasta stables and the pizza -- all excellent. love being able to bring our own wine. we try to go every week, always a fun time.

my wife and i have been eating here for more than 15 years and we love the food and the owners moni and amy and their wonderful family! amy and her sons are always very gracious and friendly. tony in particular always makes it a fun visit for our teenager which makes our dinner a lot more enjoyable. all the foid is excellent but are favorites are the specialty pizza (extra sausage, mushrooms add spinach and artichokes) and the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer. be sure to get some of the garlic and oil with your bread also! enjoy your evening with a bottle of your favoritewine- byob.

quaint little restaurant. we like going to moni's because it's really close to the house and sometimes it's nice to bring your ownwineto a restaurant and relax and enjoy! i really enjoy an espresso with tiramisu after dinner, but when sal is working, we always ask for him to make us his fabulous turkish coffee it's sooo good and way better then just an espresso!
