i’m not in town often – but when i am – i visit mojo donuts in pembroke pines. a celebrateddonutshop that features creative donuts and espresso drinks in a simple and snug atmosphere, they are located on the southeast corner of university and pines boulevard.

“white death,” “buster blaster,” “worms in the dirt,” “almond joy,” and “fruity pebbles” are among my personal favorites. colorful and tasty, i try not to count the calories.

when it comes to coffee, i enjoy mojo’s café’ con leche. plain and simple – café con leche.

clean establishment, along with friendly and knowledgeable staff. dine in or take out – i always take my donuts and coffee “to go.”

mojo does their best to take donuts to the next level. i’m sure to return.

'410px' : 'auto'); } as you know, i don’t usually write about pembroke pines. but every rule has its exception, especially when it comes to donuts which you readers know are one of my favorites. s’mores, chocolate monkey (with bananas), key lime, potato sticks and snickers, bacon and maple syrup, peanut butter and jelly, and more….those are just some of the flavors besides of course the classics featured by mojo donuts , 7906 pines blvd. i have to say i was a little dubious about them, being so rich and sounding super sweet. it turned out they’re sweet, but unlike any other donuts i’ve bought (except for maybe new york’s doughnut plant ), they’re actually very chewy so the sweetness is less pronounced (unlike krispy kreme’s that  seem to dissolve into a mass of sugar). it all works. how, you’re probably asking did i find out about them? one of the most followed food bloggers in miami called “ burger beast ” was celebrating his 5th anniversary of blogging and had a party. the man known for his writings about comfort foods loves donuts, and so that was the dessert. so if you happen to be in the area up north, do stop by for a java anddonutor two.

what a treat. so glad i finally had the chance to treat myself to these donuts. went with my daughters. one has a sweet tooth who eat a variety of six donuts in one sitting. the other one does not have a sweet tooth but enjoyed her onedonutnonetheless. i'm in love with the bacondonut(forgot the real name of it). too delicious. my taste buds thanked me after the first try.
go early as the donuts sell out fast.
so glad for this little neighborhood gem. wish there was one closer to my home.

innovative donuts. i dropped by the mojo donuts location on sunday, august 11, 2013. i had read many good reviews about this establishment and wanted to try it out myself.
i normally would not even consider eating adonutas it is definitely not a part of my usual eating regimen and definitely not something my personal trainer would advise me to do. however, i am also a foodie and the only way to provide a valid opinion is to sample the product.
i ordered a raspberry glazeddonutand an apple fritter. both were simply delicious. there is a wide array of donuts to choose from and i think anyone would find something to satisfy their sweet tooth.

someone recently asked me, "i can't find your review of mojo donuts, where is it?" it was then that it suddenly dawned on me, i've never written about it. how the fuck did that even happen? i guess i was too busy deep-throating bacon logs to notice. since it opened a few months back, i've been there several dozen times. i've smuggled these donuts all the way to jacksonville to share with friends and i've brought one of my friends to the brink of gestational diabeetus because of this place. thedonutselection and these little donuts went to jacksonville so it's a mild understatement to say that i like this place. yea the donuts are great and inventive, but there's more to it than just that. it's a family owned and operated business. the people are very nice and ridiculously patient. they take the time to explain each and everydonutand they'll sit by and wait while you do your happy dance and decide what you want. they go above and beyond for their customers. for example: if you had y

unique gourmet donuts. if you are looking for adonutthat is not run of the mill, well this is the place for you. they have several unique combinations. i tried the bacon and nutella donut. the savory and sweet flavors went perfectly together.

the atmosphere was that of a coffee house with lower lighting, sofas for relaxing, wifi, etc. i didn't try their coffee, but hopefully it is as good as their donuts.

the only suggestion...name tags for the donuts in the display case...instead of the owner explaining the contents of eachdonutcreation....over and over for each customer. takes forever and very annoying.

wow!!! i have been looking for adonutplace like this for years. the glazed was perfectly sweet and fluffy, raspberry was delicious and the maple bacon bar lived up to its expectation. they have really high end coffees and teas. this place is definitely worth a visit. but go early if you want to get a large variety.
