great!. great cheap food! one of the best sushi places in town. always stop by every time i am in the area. i am not sure what the other person is complaining about because the quality that you get is better than the price. i've been to other high endjapaneserestaurants in ny & dc and this is pretty great for this small town. will come back again :)

great food. i have been to manyjapaneserestaurants in winston salem. i love miyako the best. you have to try the stingray roll, its out of this world. one half will fill up most anyone unless you are very very hungrey. service was always great, and very pretty waitresses doesnt hurt either.

not the best. sure, the sushi is cheaper here than other places, but it is not proper sushi. the rice is done in a press and is not seasoned properly with the sugar, salt and rice vinegar, not mixed properly to form good nigiri and have the proper flavor. it won't stick together, so every time you dip a piece, the rice falls apart. plus, the fish is way too thickly sliced for the amount of "sushi" rice. i have also tried another of their cooked dishes, the scallops, and it was okay - not something i'd order again. this is very disappointing, as miyako is near where i live, and love goodjapanesefood. i guess i could just order sashimi, if i had the craving. but, i'll stick to cookingjapaneseat home, which isn't easy. i have to order shiritaki noodles online, and plan a few days ahead to make sukiyaki, which i haven't found in any so-calledjapaneserestaurants here in winston-salem.

worth the drive down south peters creek pkwy. my whole family loves miyako. it's one of the fewjapaneserestaurants we eat at. the food is seasoned so nicely (beats the heck out of all those showy, hibachi places). miyakos is in a league by itself.

my favorites are the hibachi chicken, teriyaki chicken and mushroom soup. the others in my family like their sushi.

i love miyako! best sushi in town!! when i moved to nc from fl i tried just about everyjapaneserestaurant i could find. when i found miyako my search was over. i just wish they would open more locations. like in clemmons and downtown winston salem (hint hint ... if the owners are reading.) if you go here you won't be sorry.
