best white sauce. they have some of the best white bbq sauce i've ever had. the atmosphere is great too...just plain ole' simple bbq that tastes amazing. i prefer the chicken which is incredibly moist and seasoned just right!

best q in the south!!. maybe its because i've eaten here since i can remember but this is the best bbq in the south. i've traveled to other states with my husband and we've had the other local qs but myra's got it right. their red sauce is just right vinegar/smoky twang and the white sauce well i'll just say i put it on everything from the pork to the beans to the potato salad. the white sauce is what you want to try. just try it, it knocks the socks of the "other" alabama white sauce just cause it is so simple. the service is always great and they always make you feel like you're home.

pretty good. miss myra's is a popular local choice. the bbq is very soft, tender and delicious and you have your choice of sauce on the table. do be warned the menu is limited, especially when it comes to sides. this is the only bbq place i've been to that doesn't offer french fries.

myra's is somewhat over-rated but certainly good.

buns. miss myra's is a reliable stand by- but they must stop serving sandwiches on the stale buns. everytime i have picked up a sandwich in the past few months, the bun falls apart and you are left wtih a mess to eat with a fork. impossible to pick up. maybe they are getting a deal from the bun company to buy old buns.

it's the chicken for me.. the pork is really good. it comes in hunks, not chopped and dry like so many do, and has a good flavor on its own. the red sauce is average. i prefer vinegar-based sauces with a kick of afterburn, and miss myra's is tomato-based. it's not too sweet, which makes it palatable for me. (i'm more of a savory girl.) but the true gems here are the chicken and white sauce. when i'm at a bbq place, i tend to think pork and beef (i know, beef bbq is sacrilege in the south). when it comes to miss myra's, i'm all about the chicken. i don't think i've ever had chicken with such a tasty, smokey flavor. and so juicy! the white sauce is right up my savory taste bud alley.
the green beans are those flat, thick beans cooked southern-style until soft. they are really quite good, as long as you're not a haricot vert fanatic. the potato salad is good, but i'm not a potato salad afficianado. (i prefer german-style potato salad.) i don't care for the coldslaw. i thought i would since it's not creamy, but i found it to be bland. the banana pudding is a true southern treat. there's no instant pudding there. no sir! in fact, it's still warm when it comes to you. chunks of banana and real egg white meringue.... mmmmmm!
the perfect miss myra's meal for me is the chicken with green beans and potato salad. and, of course, banana pudding for dessert. yum!

it's all about the white sauce.. simple as that. mrs. myra's isn't the best bbq in town, but the white sauce is worth the trip... good stuff indeed.

went yo miss myras at 7pm on a sat night. had a small pork plate. absolutely no smoke flavor in the pork..tasted old, like it had been sitting around all day.. baked beans were canned-tasting. devilled eggs also tasted day-old. i was very disappointed. this place can't hold a candle to saw's, though it's easier to get into.

before departing home to los angeles, the astronomer and i once again consulted the barbecue bible for noteworthy lunch options. “miss myra’s does many things well, but it’s the mayonnaise and vinegar-based white sauce that keep people talking,” touted th
