a welcome addition. mdc serves house-cured and smoked meats, house-pickled vegetables,craftbeers, and a full bar in a wonderfully-restored historic building. i tried mdc on its third day open and can't wait to return. the reuben was great. unlike the usual thousand island dressing, mdc uses a grainy mustard that goes well with its corned beef and kraut and melted swiss. the rye was dense and chewy, a good match for the sandwich. as a side i tried the broccoli cheddar soup. what a treat on a cold day. lots of fresh broccoli in a deep cheddar base.
