unexpected awesomeness. while showing an out-of-town friend around downtown milwaukee, we came across themilwaukeebrat house and decided to try our luck at lunch on labor day monday. everything was great! i went for a simple brat with kraut that was served on the best soft and light pretzel roll, my buddy had the brat with wisconsin cheddar on top, and my fiancée probably had the best out of all, the bbq pulled pork on the same great pretzel roll - one of the best sandwiches i'd ever tasted. we also tried the cheese curds, which weren't the best i've had (the dough was a little thick for me) but still pretty good. we'll definitely be back, and won't need an out-of-town friend for an excuse.
