bacalao - special of the day!. okay, hear me out people. back in brooklyn, my mom, doña aida, was known for her caring and open house. what she is best remembered for is her excellent puerto rican cuisine. in millie's cafe, i have found the great taste and enjoyment of my mother's cooking. doña millie is a great chef. she cooks from the heart. i know because food like hers can only be cooked from love and pride to satisfy. friday's special wasbacalao(codfish) with boiled roots, (yuca, guineo, etc.) . i also sampled her alcapurrias, pastelillos, and rellenos de papas. you have to go to millie's! every dish i've eatened has brought joy and satisfaction. millie's menu, never fails to delight my palate and my budget$. ¡ buen aprovecho!
