pumpkin salad. generous, delicious combination of flavours & textures

went fordinneron a quiet sunday night. great experience - had the chicken and fish tacos, along with the sumac calamari and char grilled corn, everything was amazing. excellent service accompanied the food, my wife loved the cocktail recommendations and the local ale was delicious. will definitely be going back again!

possibly my greatestdinnerever. my wife and i attended the milbri on a sunday night for my birthday and i was absolutely blown away by the amazing service and quality of food. we shared arincini balls for an entree that were incredible. for mains my wife ordered the lamb shank and i ordered the pulled pork quesadilla. we both thought we were in heaven. the tenderness and flavouring of both meals were amazing not to mention the very generous portion sizes. every mouthful of the quesadillawas better than the last. we finished off by sharing an apple pie topped with ice cream and caramel that was out of this world. the night was made all the more better by the terrific customer service and perfect timing of meals being brought out. the little things also made this night a winner like the owner put a candle on our apple pie and singing me happy birthday and also our pinot noir being served in the correct shaped wine glass. every detail was perfect. thankyou for a perfect and beautiful night. we both cant wait to return.

was really looking forward todinnerhere, as had heard such great things. we left mostly disappointed.
to be fair, it was a busy night but the food quality was really underwhelming. we had nachos, chicken platter and the pumpkin salad.

the pumpkin salad was too salty to eat - we had one mouthful each before pushing it to the side. when we mentioned to the waitstaff the didn’t seem to care and told us that it was a common complaint that they attributed to the feta. having tasted the pumpkin and zucchini by itself, i was pretty sure it was that the vegetables themselves were overstated but didn’t want to push the point too hard.

we enjoyed the chicken wings at the time but noticed they were slightly gamey tasting and ended making us both sick later that night.

the nachos were fine, and our drinks were refreshing (coke and mojito).

it’s a shame we didn’t enjoy it, because it seems to be a favourite but we didn’t think the food we got was good value for money and the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. although the waiters were friendly, they seemed dismissive of our feedback on the food which makes it unlikely we will return anytime soon.

came here fordinnerwith friends on a weekend away. we shared the nachos which were decent. the mains were quite expensive but thoroughly enjoyed. we had the calamari, charred chicken and the special of the night with beef. service was good as it was fairly quiet.

the food was amazing. took a little while for the food to come out, but definetly worth the wait! recommend the chargrilled chicken, calamari dish and the beef tacos from thedinnermenu!

absolutely amazing place. we went there fordinnerlast night and everything there was incredibly amazing. the scotch fillet steak was so juicy and beef tacos couldn't be better any more. we also had popcorn chicken which was delicious as well. staff was very friendly. best dining place to go in rosebud which makes us love this town even more.

we went here fordinneron our last day in rosebud and it was amazing! ♡ we had the cheeseburger, the soft shell crab and buffalo tacos, along with some nachos, fries and popcorn chicken. we were so hungry we forgot to take photos but i can vouch the food looked incredible! the place had such a relaxing yet nostalgic vibe it was perfect for our night! the staff were so nice and accomodating for our indecisiveness, they helped us order enough food where we left fully satisfied. i had to try their deconstructed hot chocolate as well, and though i do regret it would have been nicer with the amount of milk given to be given a better proportional amount of chocolate to melt, it was still great. we had a great time and we hope this place thrives. :)

we stopped in for an earlydinnerwith our two young girls and had a great dining experience. we were attended to immediately by a very friendly waiter and our drinks came quickly. we ordered the spiced carrot, buffalo and crab tacos and beef quesadillas. they were so delicious, the flavour and texture balance was perfect. the kids were very happy with their kid friendly meals and juice. i highly recommend this place, fantastic food with perfect serving sizes, good drinks list with friendly and attentive staff.

had a very earlydinnerhere with friends before heading to the hot springs, so it was a bit quiet. the food was modern latino style and decor was cool. we had the steak, mussels, and chargrilled chicken plus a jug of sangria. the scotch fillet steak was sublime, melt in the mouth with a good charred flavor. the beans were tasty but the dish could have done with some salad or a couple of greens to lighten it up. the mussels were good, the charred chicken was nicely flavoured with a good mix of veggies and rice. the sangria washed it all down a treat. we loved that fresh fruity sangria. it wasn’t too sweet either, almost the best sangria i’ve tried. however, some fresh mint or sliced orange in the jug would have made it perfect. the only downside was that the waitress tried to convince us that the mains wouldn’t be big enough without sides and the jug of sangria wouldn’t be enough for us. luckily, we didn’t over order. the servings are generous here and you certainly don’t need sides. the drinks are generous too. overall it was a great meal and would recommend milbri for a fun night out with friends!!

excellent spot serving up a less than typical style of food--south american dishes with a modern twist. our host was a friendly young guy who was a good conversationist and gave some good tips about the area. he was handy in recommending the right amount of food. we were having lunch late, but also had a bbq fordinnerso we didn't want to be too full. the meat platter special was a selection of several kinds of grilled meats. all of the them were excellent. my favourite was probably the succulent and tasty chicken skewers. the beef had some tough parts, and probably could have been tastier, but the tender parts were great, especially with the benefit of the charred flavour. the house-made chorizo was even better than i fought it would be. better texture than many i've had, and about the right amount of saltiness. there was a real meaty flavour about it and it was best eaten with the pickled veggies that accompanied. the fritters were pretty were enjoyable, as were the patatas. an interesting little place of the kind that i wouldn't have expected to find this far out of melbourne. they have brilliant opening hours for the location as well. a godsend for young locals and those holidaying in the area.

had a booking fordinnerat 8pm on jan 5. before saying hello waitress, possibly manager said "you need to be out by 830, a male staff member quietly said to her "take it easy" obviously recognising how abrupt and rude she was.
we ordered drinks and when my wife commented that we were not told we needed to be out by a particular time the waitress replied that a staff member, possibly reese, had taken the call and that he should have given her the phone. she also suggested that she had given us a better table than booked and seemed to be indicating we should be grateful to her.
drinks ordered were sparkling water a coke and a margarita - cost of 2 bottles of mineral water alone was $20, we asked for the bill and left.
poor value with staff who seemed to have contempt for holiday makers. we had a home a few kilometres away and will not be back when they may need us more when it's cold.

had a great family dinner. all of the food was amazing. we had a few entrees and it is really tough to split between the chicken ribs and the lamb ribs, as both were superb. for main the t-bone was a clear favourite. the cocktails are also very well prepared, well thought through and beautifully presented. all this combined with great service from peppe and the team made for a greatdinnerout. we'll definitely be back next time we are in the area.
