my daughter recently had her 21st birthday party at mercetta. it was amazing. the food was delicious and the service exceptional. the staff were so attentive and helpful. they were also able to organise the dj and security and helped us decorate before the event. 5*****greatdecor and superb outdoor area. the staff stored our leftover cake and decorations overnight and when we went back for breakfast the next day we were given help to take our stuff to the car! fantastic!!

one of the best. i went there the other day and i must say it was agreatexperience the breakfast was to die for, and to see ppl still make there own hollandaise in stead of buying it in like alot of others. no short cuts by the chefs is a must for food lovers like myself. my friends had the specials even tho they were both chicken they had one of each and both where presented and tasted fabulous i guess chicken was on special this week. i have been to this place quite a few times only downfall i have is it is time to change a few things on the menu, only so many times you can eat the same thing if you know what i mean.

food was great, loved the outdoor setting, i had to take full advantage of those swinging chairs. lunch was delicious & staff were friendly.greatplace for a bite on main with reasonable prices

we had a nice time visiting mercetta, one of the top-rated cafes in mornington. the food was delicious and quite filling, although on the pricey side. the dishes we ordered were presented beautifully, definitely instagram worthy!
we also ordered their signature hot chocolate which came with marshmallows and fairy floss, besides this, the hot chocolate itself was average, as it just tasted like warm milk. this was a let down in comparison to the rest of our experience at mercetta. the ambience and vibe of the cafe was nice, it is agreatplace to catch up with friends over some good food!

great place,greatambience,greatservice and even more phenomenal are their buttermilk pancakes! easily the best i have had so far! i am glad i decided to go to this place in my 10days of holiday in melbourne. highly recommended!

booked mercetta for part of my friends hens weekend and it was so great! we had around 20 girls come & sat in the lovely outside area- across 2 booths comfortably. the staff were really friendly & the food tasted amazing. i had the corn fritters & they were so good! also in the lead up to it, the staff weregreatat communicating with us & were super easy to work with
would defs recommend this place if you’re looking for either a place for a group booking or a coffee catch up!

absolutely terrible. i would’ve never stepped foot in this place if i had known how bad my food and experience would be. firstly we asked for a table of 7, we get escorted to the back and shown to our table and when we get there, 3 guys are sitting on it and we get squeezed on a smaller table of 6 with an extra chair cramped up. i asked the waiter if maybe he could politely inform the 3 guys that there is a party bigger than needs a table and if they could move to a smaller table and he refused. already in a not sogreatmood, we place our orders and wait for our food. a considerable amount of time passes and we are absolutely starving at this stage so i ask one of the workers to check on our food, said i’ve been waiting almost an hour (what it felt like) and he said to me it’s being plated up so i sit down, in fumes, containing my anger. then what really shocked me is he came back and told me that it’s only been 30 minutes, no apologies at all. what kind of establishment doesn’t apologise to customers about the wait and proceeds to tell me it’s only been that long? by this stage everyone is angry, unhappy and hopeful that the wait will salvage the situation. no. the people that got poached eggs were disappointed to see yolks cooked throughout. two of us got the piggy smalls sandwich and to our absolute demise, it had no flavour whatsoever. the chicken was bland, almost like as if it was boiled and not seasoned at all. i asked for cheese (which was an extra $1.50) to see it dried up as a poor attempt to melt coon cheese slices onto my turkish bread. bacon was chewy and not fresh. for the wait, the trouble, the terrible service - it was not worth anything at all.

i will never be back.

my favourite part of my meal was the hash browns i ordered on the side and they also were a little soggy.

love coming to mercetta! they havegreatfood and coffee. always buzzing with people but sometimes can get really busy. even when it is busy you are seated quickly but food takes a little longer than usually - but that’s to be expected. always love coming back to mercetta.

i’d highly recommend mercetta if you have a big group of friends (10-12) meeting up,greatweather and an appetite.
we sat outdoors and loved it- beautiful green garden and you barely notice the presence of anyone else.
food - reasonably priced and beautiful flavours. well presented too.
service - amazing. attentive and patient staff members, accommodating to little kids too.
will be back.

my fiancé and i had our engagement party at mercetta, it was the perfect place for our special night. we barley had to decorate as it's already beautiful!
when planning the function, they weregreatwith communication and were very happy to help out.
the food selection was great, lots of different and delicious finger food options.
was agreatnight, would highly recommend mercetta to anyone after a function venue!!!!

breakfast here is amazing, service was great, friendly staff, relaxing warm atmosphere on a cold morning. ordered the kids bacon and eggs,greatserving size, for myself had the french toast, it had amazing flavour and presentation was beyond spectacular. mercetta hot chocolate is a must have.

this place has somegreatpotential,greatuse of outdoor space, we loved the setting. menu was interesting and sounded amazing, unfortunately the taste and technique wasn't there on the plate though, i felt that an experienced chef came up with the menu but a newbie made the food. would go back and try different items though, service and coffee was pretty good.

it was agreatday out on main street today and as we often do we tried somewhere we hadn't eaten before, this time it was mercetta which i'm sure was under a different name prior.

i order the open steak sandwich (seriously i suggest you make this an actual steak sandwich) and my friend the orecchiette. the steak sandwich was dry, chewy and pretty bland, seriously steak that thin needs a maximum 2 minutes a side, had it not been for the bacon (also not amazing) there would have been bugger all flavour. i wish it was a proper sandwich and not half a sanga served on a chopping board so i could eat it off a plate and not the table but i guess being trendy is a high priority. the chips were actually great, highlight of the meal for what it's worth.

on the other hand the orecchiette was actually quite tasty with a good balance of flavour and texture. my friend found it too spicy but i'd call it mild, the good news was because it was too spicy for her i actually got to eat something tasty which wasn't happening with my meal.

the staff were friendly and the service was quick as expected on a lunch time friday, it's a shame the steak sandwich was rubbish, how something so simple can be made so bland always suprises me.

this place looksgreatand has been set up wonderfully- it truly does look gorgeous. however, more effort and time should have been allocated to their food which was a huge let down.

i was so excited to eat here and my partner and i both ordered juices and eggs for breakfast. the juices were nice and looked very sweet in the little jars they were served in, but somehow a simple bacon and eggs went wrong. our eggs were not how we ordered them (i like a runny yolk) and the service was average.

another prime example of an overrated mornington cafe.
