i feel bad writing this, but i had my hopes high for this restaurant. ambience, courteous staff, live music etc. all nice, but the hotel forgot to pay attention to the basic : food preparation. all the preparation ordered lacked taste, nothing 'felt' fresh, dishes more less below average and ingredient not of the quality you'll expect a good hotel to serve.
i believe the chef and manager both understood that i didn't relished my meal as they were curious why all my dishes were left half eaten. i did give my feedback but the response was not really logical. to their defense they quoted the meal and it's spices etc have been adjusted to be more palatable to kids. i would however like hotel to work on making their dishes authentic and offer customisation if required. you cannot have mediterranean food mellowed or changed to suit a 10 year old. i'm sorry it just doesn't make any sense.
also, the restaurant needs to work hard on sourcing of its ingredients. the med food is suppose to feel fresh and delightful. all the dishes lacked the freshness and distinctiveness you'll expect from vegetables etc used.
really hope sayaji takes the suggestion and surprise.
