isn’t it funny how when you are running late, there is always a problem on the indore traffic? or maybe there are almost always problems when you are running late, but it’s just that such delays are much more noticeable when you’re in a rush. i was in a hurry for a dinner, and i like to try and be on time, although admittedly only with varying degrees of success. therefore, i started to fret as our car was held up first at one traffic light, and then again at the next on a.b road. “dinner is waiting for me. is my entire journey going to be like this?” i thought, gritting my teeth.

the place has an absolute soothing and a perfect ambience. the cuisine particularly mediterranean is utterly delicious for those who love mediterranean food. filo wraps, shwarma, fish platters are mouthwatering. service here is great. dont forget to carry a heavy wallet for the place. again, delicious food.

we had a pathetic experience when they informed us at the end of the meal that there is a 'cover charge' of rs 800 per person and that we need to order food more than 800 per person. this was shocking to us because no such charge had been brought up for the last 4-5 times we'd been here. the shift manager 'explained' that earlier our bill must have been higher. the staff was too stupid to understand the concept of terms & conditions

the worst part was that the person who took our booking came over and started lying that she had told me about this charge.

overall this is the only place to get mediterranean food in indore and most of the food is average with only the bread platter and salads being passably good.

we stayed at sayaji for a indore wedding in june 1st week 2015.
one evening we found they had a roof top mediterranean restaurant so we thought of giving it a try.
we were pleasantly surprised with the place and the chef was walking around greeting the guests and he made us a few recommendations and we liked the food.
certainly worth a visit when you are in indore.

the most exclusive dining experience!!
as you enter the alley you know the place is going to.be special...as you reach the 8th floor roof top of sayaji....you know uts something special...along with its great location and amazing sayaji style hospitality...they serve amazing mediterranean food which only they can manage in indore.....the spread of bread and differnt dressing that is brought to you as you reach is complimebtary and start to a gourmet experience...then their totally novel menu of food and drinks spoils you for choice to order but the chef and captain are helpful enough to let u decide ur order...if u are on a dinner date their private tables will give u serenity and solace and cut you off from the surroundings and the noise of the town....the staff is also courteous enough to not un needingly disturb you...p.s. they get u complimentary cake after all ds if its a celebration. ..nothing better that one could ask for.

had this place on my list for long and heard about it umpteen number of times. finally got the chance to head here for a date. and every single word i had heard about this place turned out to be true.
the place has got one of the finest upholstery i have seen, the impeccably done up alley with dim lighting set the mood right.
had booked a table in the outer area, amazing view of the city from the table coupled with great background score was just what the doctor ordered.
moving on to food, we ordered a chicken caesar salad, a fusili pesto and beer. till the order was served, we were served a basket of different types of breads along withal an array of 6 sauces/dips.
the caesar salad was great, chicken was grilled just perfect. excellent portions. the fusili pesto with a good dose of oregano turned out to be a treat to have along with beer.
after the billing was done we were taken to the pizza counter and taught how to make a pizza, right from making the dough to baking it. we were served the pizza (complimentary) after it was baked. overall it all made for a sumptuous evening.

not to forget, the extremely courteous staff who serve you food whenever your plate gets empty and keep taking feedback on the food quality etc. the manager came in at the end of the billing to personally take feedback of the overall experience.

this place is a must go for a date. do order sangria for cocktails.

if you love continental/mediterranean cuisine, then and only then you will enjoy your visit here. i had many friends of mine, who love 'desi' food and they were quite dissapointed. so moral of the story is do a background check on zomato before going to any restuarant. :p
now coming to my review, let me start from the beginning. both the cocktails and mocktails had a very smooth blend. we had ordered a prawn and fish item, both were properly cooked with all the flavours.
the best thing is the ambience. rooftop resturant, very cosy and private with dimly lit surroundings. very suitable for a romantic date.
and did i mention that you can cook your own pizza with the chef ( and click selfies too wearing a chef cap ;) )

mediterra! you beauty!

i decided to go to this place after reading all the wonderful reviews and management's response to each review here on zomato. i already had a service level and ambiance expectation in mind but this place managed to surpass each!

rooftop restaurant in one of the finest hotels in indore serving mediterranean cuisine. i chose this place for an evening out i had been planning for almost 2 months and it definitely was the right decision. i spoke to the restaurant manager to make a reservation and also asked for a few special arrangements to be made. soon as we entered, we were welcomed with a beautifully lit, city facing table. the view was awesome and the experience created was just perfect.

we decided to go with the staff's recommendation for food and it turned out very well for us. though 80% of the job was done by the ambiance even before we started to dine!

they helped pull off the evening beautifully with the best of their service and food. wish i could rate you higher than this! :)

great place, great service, awesome food!

but drinks, the waiters are not even trained to hold a wine glass and as a courtesy call a taste of wine shall b offered before it is served! was quite shocked to see these very basic things missing. otherwise the would have scored a 10 on 10.

nevertheless the best rooftop restaurant in indore.

cheers!

very delighted to see such a beautiful roof top place in indore. very nice ambiance has been created with live dj. interesting menu from mediterranean region. i didn't try food though which makes me want to go back to this place sooner. they even had some of the moroccon dishes on the menu. i am giving 4.5 rating only for the ambiance and i am even confident about the food but wait till i visit again.

had a great time last week on rang panchmi at mediterra.

we booked it for 6 people before and they got one of the best seating location. climate was perfect and so the songs which were played. as soon as we entered there were people to greet and acknowledge for your needs. we were navigated to the place and asked for any better seating options. entire terrace seating was unique and special.

to start with they serve with complimentary breads, pitta chips and sauces which were just awesome which completely set everyone's mood. waiter are fully trained and will guide one's with the recommendations and taste of each sauce/new dish.

we ordered dakos, garlic bread and paneer (bbq) in starters. the quality of paneer was the best i ever eat. it was damn rich and soft. garlic bread was ok. dakos was a new started which was recommended by the captain. it had some toppings on 6 different piece of bread. should try once.

next order was of pink pasta (my all time fav), white pasta, thin crust pizza's. entire order was rich in quality and tastes yum.

we ordered few mocktails and 1 of them was just okay. i don't remember the exact name.

hospitality: 5/5
ambiance: 5/5
cost: 4/5 (800/person is the minimum which 1 has to pay)

overall an excellent place to be with special people on some special day. recommended.
