to start off i heard much about mazo's & howgoodit was. so we stopped in for lunch. the waitstaff were so clueless we sat there for at least 20 min. before even getting asked if we wanted a beverage. it wasn't like they were busy, there was only 4 tables. when we asked what the soups were she said "beef barley & some other kind"... she then approaches the table to ask what kind of cheese my fiancée wants on her mushroom & swiss. i ordered a raspberry shake which had nearly no flavor. the burgers were blah & almost tough. my fiancée burger had what seemed to he canned mushrooms & didn't even eat 1/4 of hers. all in all i would have gone across the street to leon's.

it's ok... it's your classic dive type of place with agoodmeal. you getgoodvalue for your money and the food is good. it's not the best burger in milwaukee, but worth a visit.

a true hidden gem!. a truly hidden gem with a great vibe inside... but i'm not sure for how long. i've heard this place is going to be on food wars soon, and it may not be hidden after that. they keep weird hours and i've been turned down for burgers a handful of times... but they're so nice and the food is sogoodthat i don't mind. great burgers (top 3 in milwaukee), great shakes/malts in a tin cup, and great side item choices. all the women that work there are also very personable and the prices are pretty cheap. two people can eat pretty well there for $20 or less. outstanding place!
