this hamburger has been a milwaukee classic for years. today i ordered the #4-bacon burger with fried onions. the burger was seared to perfection, thick cut crunchy bacon, and fried on the spot onions. oh! the bun was toasted that it had a slight crunch to the entire surface of the cut inside portion topped with a coat of butter. this meal came with two side of my choice of 10. i took the fries and vegi beef soup. both were outstanding!!!!
if you haven't been here in a wail do come back and if you have never been here you are in for a burger meal treat for under $7.50. one of the best burgers around

really don't understand how this place has stayed in business so long? their burgers are poor in quality and heated to temperature needed for cooking but not seared for taste. unengaged staff and worn interior.

lousy place. the food sucks and the service is terrible. it is just murderburgers. for the fat and grease they are pretty pain and not tasty.
the price is so gh and then the service is terrible. the server had an attiude problem. i think they need to radically change else go out of business.

ok, but nothing spectacular. great burger after a long wait, indifferent service and an atmosphere like a grandma's basement. with all the great burger places in milwaukee, mazo's is just ok and offers very few reasons to seek it out.

to start off i heard much about mazo's & how good it was. so we stopped in for lunch. the waitstaff were so clueless we sat there for at least 20 min. before even getting asked if we wanted a beverage. it wasn't like they were busy, there was only 4 tables. when we asked what the soups were she said "beef barley & some other kind"... she then approaches the table to ask what kind of cheese my fiancée wants on her mushroom & swiss. i ordered a raspberry shake which had nearly no flavor. the burgers were blah & almost tough. my fiancée burger had what seemed to he canned mushrooms & didn't even eat 1/4 of hers. all in all i would have gone across the street to leon's.

great food. my grandmother worked at mazo,s for years in milwaukee
every time i visit milwaukee i go to mazo,s memory lane for me . the owners and founders of mazo,s are great people and its a land mark for the great city of milwaukee i recommend to visit they have booths like the old restuarants and a photo of my grandmother working one day in there fantastic i miss and love my grand ma

it's ok... it's your classic dive type of place with a good meal. you get good value for your money and the food is good. it's not the best burger in milwaukee, but worth a visit.

a classic, homemade burger. mazos is a classic neighborhood burger and malt shop that is easily overlooked since it puts its effort into the food rather than the advertising or the signage. my trip today long after i moved out of the neighborhood reminded me how rare it is to find such a comfortable neighborhood spot. it is definitely worth taking the kids for an old-fashioned fresh hamburger that will let them experience what burgers tasted like before fast food lowered the standard.

a true hidden gem!. a truly hidden gem with a great vibe inside... but i'm not sure for how long. i've heard this place is going to be on food wars soon, and it may not be hidden after that. they keep weird hours and i've been turned down for burgers a handful of times... but they're so nice and the food is so good that i don't mind. great burgers (top 3 in milwaukee), great shakes/malts in a tin cup, and great side item choices. all the women that work there are also very personable and the prices are pretty cheap. two people can eat pretty well there for $20 or less. outstanding place!

mazos hamburgers are a milwaukee tradition. this hamburger haven has been family-owned since 1934. they grind up their burgers fresh each morning (nothing is frozen). soups are homemade and the shakes/malts are fantastic.

check out the pictures and see how cool the atmosphere is. you can't visit or live in milwaukee without having had a butter burger from mazos.

absolutly delicious. i highly recommend this place if you are looking for a classic burger. freshly ground beef makes this a tasty burger.
