i went here for my birthday with 3 others, i among the others thought it was crazy expensive for the quality and preparation. 2 of us ordered thesteakfrites, both ordered medium rare, but when they came to the table, one was almost raw, the other was partly medium and partly raw. the fries were also substandard, the presentation was cutsey in a paper bag, but they were heavily salted and cold. another person got the pappardelle with lamb ragout, which was good, a bit dry but good flavor. the final member had a nightly special of berkshire pork, that was the best of the night, but not memorable. we decided not to get dessert after the lackluster meal. we used a $75 restaurant gift certificate (a birthday present) and still spent $160 on dinner for 4. that might be fine for a pretentious hipster, but for someone who knows and loves food, it was overpriced, underwhelming and generally disappointing.
