martini's

today was my firsttimeat martini's and i must say, i was quite impressed. i've walked past it countless times but figured it would be too expensive for me to consistently visit for lunch. however, i was pleasantly surprised by the beef dip lunch special which offered good quality beef on a fresh bun with a delicious soup and more fries than i could eat for under $13 including tax and a generous tip. the servers were very friendly and consistently checked up on me to ensure that i was happy with the meal. food came quickly and i felt comfortable and cozy in the warm and casual, yet classy atmosphere. i can't speak for the dinner service but i am very happy with my lunchtimeexperience and would definitely visit martini's again

martini’s is perfectly serviceable western food, and it’s 2 blocks from my work so i am there once a week. they usually have good lunch specials that come with soup and other junk. when i feel like eating healthy i have the grilled chicken salad (sometimes this comes on tomato bocconcini salad, sometimes greek salad). otherwise i have the lamb pita wrap or a chicken burger. weird thing – they put black olives and pineapple in their green salad. i kind of like it. prices are adequate. service is decent. generally speaking, this entire restaurant is adequate. they bill themselves as a pizza place but if you want pizza there are much better places to go in the city.

biggest rave: once they had a grilled chicken salad with gorgonzola in it that was amazing. unfortunately it was just the onetimeand i have never seen it on the menu since.

biggest rant: onetimeat lunch the server forgot about us and we were about to leave after waiting something like 40 minutes. then she said “oh we’ll get your meal to you immediately” then it took another 20 minutes and even after my friend had to leave to get back to work (before the food finally arrived) they didn’t even give us a discount.

dependable pub fare. comfort, pub fare, decent value and service, specials are great, house salad dressing is smashing,timetested. servers sometimes need 'more inspiration' in their service.

love martini's pizza!!!. the best pizza ever!! so tasty, not greasy, loads of toppings! we always get a 24 - chicken, spinach and feta - delicious!! got the veggie special too thistimea omg i could not stop eating it!! love love love this pizza!! make it a must do for every one of our downtown staycations.

just okay.... our thirdtimeordering. pizza is good, crust seemed fresh. firsttimeordered, the ribs were a 7/10 and the pasta seemed to be fine. second time- veal parm was inedible so called to complain. manager graciously gave a credit for next order which was fine with me since i thought i would order pizza again. third time- ordered calamari dinner which was kinda disgusting. lots of tentacles. seemed like they order the calamari whole and uncleaned and someone in the kitchen cleans them. this person did not do a very good job. you could still see the blackness of the calamari even under the batter. they were soggy and cold- no venting in the container. the pasta that came with the chicken parm tasted like it came out of a chef boyardee can- the chicken was okay, a little dry...
all in all the service at this place is good. the food is just sub par. the nexttimeyou're thinking about ordering most of the food offf this menu- open a can of chef boyardee instead and save your $$$.
