martini's

came into this place on a recommendation as a spot forgoodpasta but was not exactly pleasantly surprised. the menu would suggest they are primarily a pizza place but none of the pizza we ordered (large group, 4-5 different pies) was all that good. it resembles pizza from smaller brand delivery chains and certainly wasn't forno style which is kind of the pizza trend at the moment. toppings and cheese were generous but it was nothing special.
pasta was alright but again not all that different from any run of the mill joint that serves noodles and sauce. the place is really a bizarre mix of sort-of-italian restaurant and local pub with food that falls more on the side of pub fare. service wasgoodand attentive but the kitchen did make 1 pizza wrong (which they let us keep) but sent us home with the right pie to go. 
the meal was a tad pricey for pub food but if that's what you crave this place isn't too bad.
small but well picked selection of beers was a nice feature - prices were pretty on-par for suds in van.
does what it does, i expected more based on the recommendation so my view may be slightly tainted by unmet expectations.

today was my first time at martini's and i must say, i was quite impressed. i've walked past it countless times but figured it would be too expensive for me to consistently visit for lunch. however, i was pleasantly surprised by the beef dip lunch special which offeredgoodquality beef on a fresh bun with a delicious soup and more fries than i could eat for under $13 including tax and a generous tip. the servers were very friendly and consistently checked up on me to ensure that i was happy with the meal. food came quickly and i felt comfortable and cozy in the warm and casual, yet classy atmosphere. i can't speak for the dinner service but i am very happy with my lunch time experience and would definitely visit martini's again

great place for pasta and pizza. verygoodvalue, large portions, and exceptional service. best restaurant for delivery in vancouver. i enjoy the customer experience and the food everytime i eat in, take out or get delivery.

this place has been in buisness for years. it's also one of few restaurants that open late night as well. today my friends and i decided to meet here for a reunion. they have a ton of drink specials on their menu and nice straight up comfort foods for a reasonable price. their pizzas in house are pretty good. we got the martini special, i added extra chili flakes and it was perfect. the poutine is any ordinary poutine done nicely. the herb chicken tomato pasta hasgoodflavors, unfortunately the penne was overcooked slightly and not aldente, and comes with a nice big slice of garlic bread and house salad. the bbq wing delicious. the kalamari has a big portion, excuse the pic because it was sogoodi forgot to take the pic while devouring it. the count beer is dark in color and smooth rich in taste. the craft ale is refreshing.

all in all, dependable comfort food, reasonable prices. there was five of us and it came out to 18 bucks with 15 percent tip included already. not bad at all sharing these items. we were stuffed.

i forgot to mention, the service that night was incredible. water is always filled, couple check ups, friendly conversations. cudos to management on the service team as well.

martini’s is perfectly serviceable western food, and it’s 2 blocks from my work so i am there once a week. they usually havegoodlunch specials that come with soup and other junk. when i feel like eating healthy i have the grilled chicken salad (sometimes this comes on tomato bocconcini salad, sometimes greek salad). otherwise i have the lamb pita wrap or a chicken burger. weird thing – they put black olives and pineapple in their green salad. i kind of like it. prices are adequate. service is decent. generally speaking, this entire restaurant is adequate. they bill themselves as a pizza place but if you want pizza there are much better places to go in the city.

biggest rave: once they had a grilled chicken salad with gorgonzola in it that was amazing. unfortunately it was just the one time and i have never seen it on the menu since.

biggest rant: one time at lunch the server forgot about us and we were about to leave after waiting something like 40 minutes. then she said “oh we’ll get your meal to you immediately” then it took another 20 minutes and even after my friend had to leave to get back to work (before the food finally arrived) they didn’t even give us a discount.

had a late lunch at martini's. saw that they had won awards for their whole wheat pizzas, so we gave them a try.goodsolid veggie pizza and tasty ranch dip to boot (tasted like it was made in house). a bit on the higher end for cost at $15 a small pizza, but i wasn't disappointed. great, fast service. we had a very helpful waitress who gavegoodrecommendations. not too sure if the whole wheat pizza adds any huge difference in nutritional value, but the taste was good. would definitely consider ordering their pizza by delivery in the future.

my home away from home.goodfood, great service, fantastic value. although they are licensed, i consider this to be the best family restaurant because it caters to all ages and yet you can get beer or wine here. i've been here many times and consider it my go-to place when i have guests with fussy tastes. martini's has a bit of everything for everyone, and they do it well.

incredible! by far the best mussels and calamari i've ever had! great staff very friendly and chill abd reallygoodprice for the amazing food that is served!

i like it!. a great place to go with friends or even on a date. the pizza wasgoodand the calamari was amazing. the price was reasonable. i will definitely be going back for round two.

just okay.... our third time ordering. pizza is good, crust seemed fresh. first time ordered, the ribs were a 7/10 and the pasta seemed to be fine. second time- veal parm was inedible so called to complain. manager graciously gave a credit for next order which was fine with me since i thought i would order pizza again. third time- ordered calamari dinner which was kinda disgusting. lots of tentacles. seemed like they order the calamari whole and uncleaned and someone in the kitchen cleans them. this person did not do a verygoodjob. you could still see the blackness of the calamari even under the batter. they were soggy and cold- no venting in the container. the pasta that came with the chicken parm tasted like it came out of a chef boyardee can- the chicken was okay, a little dry...
all in all the service at this place is good. the food is just sub par. the next time you're thinking about ordering most of the food offf this menu- open a can of chef boyardee instead and save your $$$.

who knew that black olives and lamb burger would go so well together. it does!goodprices, nice character with the pub look, and winter ale. calamari was great. 10% batter and 90% squid. the way to do it!!
