i will never go back to this amateur operation. service (lack thereof) was appalling. as we entered, we were told to sit where we wanted and someone would be over to help us soon. the dilemma was which dirty table to stand next to while we waited for someone with a pulse to enter the dining area to assist us. after finally getting a table cleaned off, we sat down and anxiously awaited a menu and drink orders. after 20 minutes of sitting, waiting, and making eye contact with anyone who appeared to be an employee and hoping they might have the will to show some initiative, we gave up on our hopeful attempt at a goodchicagopie. as we were heading for the door, we were stopped and asked "are y'all heading out?" my wife began to explain why we were leaving but she was cut off mid sentence because the girl playing waitress decided she needed to take that opportunity to shoot the breeze with an acquaintance at a nearby table. when she finally zipped her lip, my wife explained to her how long we waited for any sign of life from the wait staff and her response was "i just walked in the door, i don't know anything about that. would you like me to wait on you now?" not now, not ever. later that night, we were walking to our car and saw through the windows that someone had barely touched the pizza that they received and had just thrown down a twenty and left (or so it appeared). not a great sign. perhaps we lucked out by ditching before dining here.
