the service was less than adequate for a restaurant that was not very busy. we came in with a group of 8. we waited about 10 minutes to be waited on, which was no big deal. after we ordered it took a while to get our drinks, ordered some food, and waited awhile to get that. once our food came, it was great, we had finished eating and asked for our checks and told the waitress how it was separated. it took her 10 minutes to come back; she then ended up writing it down how it was supposed to be separated. we then waited 20 minutes for our checks, and they were utterly messed up. the waitress seemed annoyed that our checks were incorrect and ripped them out of people’s hands when told they were incorrect. those with the incorrect checks then had to wait another 10 minutes to get the correct tickets. once she brought back the “correct checks,” they were still wrong. she was then frustrated with us again because they were still wrong. a manager (i guess) came to talk to us about how it was incorrect and how we wanted them to fix it and gave us the reason it took so long was that the computer crashed. this would not have been an issue if they had told us that to begin with. we told the (manager?) it was frustrating that the checks kept coming back wrong. the (manager?) proceeded to tell us, “i don’t need an attitude,” and we just stopped talking. we tried to get our checks for well over 30 minutes and were then met with horrendous customer service. i was really excited to try marleys, and it certainly was one of the most disappointing food experiences i have ever had. as a college student who works in the foodservice industry, i understand that it is hard sometimes and things go wrong, but i know if “adults” had been there it would have been a completely different experience. i have never been so disrespected as a paying customer just because of my age.
