been on the list for sooo long but every time i wanted to go, it was booked out! so it is a good idea to book ahead if you're after a friday night or weekend.

service was amazing and a lovely man who stood outside even shook our hand as we walked in and all the other staff were just so friendly as well.

had to try the vegan egg while there so ordered the charcoal pasta. along with zucchini flowers, beetroot pasta, salad, and nutella ravioli for dessert. all vegan! the food was great, really enjoyed everything, especially the beetroot pasta and thedessertwas perfect! probably wouldn't go for the flowers again and i did find the salad very fresh, but heavy on the oil so would ask for less if possible.

overall, really liked it! it was a tad pricey but the quality of food is great. def would visit again.

when one of the owners takes time to warmly welcome each guest to this small but cosy restaurant, you know you're in for a good stay.
but first.... *** the place is very small and extremely noisy. so noisy that you'll be challenged to hear yourself think, so if you're after a first date venue or somewhere to have good conversation, maybe steer clear or sit outside under the heaters where it's a lot more quiet ****
our dinner got off to a great start with a tiramisu espressotini and a passionfruit spritz mocktail. we followed that up with share plates of gluten free pasta (made from chickpea) with a sauce made from pork + fennel sausage which was simply deluxe! and a salad accompaniment "from nonna's backyard"... a really generous serve of rocket, asparagus, parmesan, fennel and lemon vinaigrette for just $12.
our shareddessertof gluten-free tiramisu ($18) was one of the best we've ever tried. olive oil chocolate sponge was layered with lightly-drunken marscapone cream and a disc of chocolate halfway down the glass which gave a surprise crunch and added flavour.
m&v's isn't cheap but the service is friendly and the food is a+++ so in my book, it's worth a treat visit every now and then.

(coeliacs note: while the polenta chips appear on the menu as gluten free, they're actually fried in shared oil... which was such a disappointment to my coeliac partner)

absolutely love the interior and innovative dishes here! experience here overall was great, was greeted by vince himself and was served by attentive and friendly wait staff. the charcoal bucatini is completely vegan which was amazing considering how creamy it was and the blue swimmer tagliatelle offered a nice balance to the meal with its more subtle flavours. we also got the zucchini flowers and fried cauliflower which were both super delicious! i highly recommend the vegan no-tella raviolidessert- not too sweet and very crispy! their italian donut special was a bit dry though unfortunately...

mouth-watering pasta!! the pasta selections are both familiar and unique with interesting twists. the ‘no-tella ravioli’dessertis to die for. their spritz’s are also amazing! nothing to fault at mark + vinny’s. the service is great and vinny is always very welcoming. love this place highly recommend trying!

mark and vinny's is super atmospheric, with sinatra's famous lyric in neon and cosy seating arrangements it looks and feels like the type of italian restaurant where a good night takes place. with the friendly vinny/mark acting as a maître d′ of the evening assisting with drink order and asking if we wanted chilli oil for our meals which was a lovely touch. it was the hype around m&v that prompted a booking for group of 5 for a weekday catch up. we ordered a variety of dishes off the menu that was very experimental food with a vegetarian or vegan focus. we missed seeing a traditional spaghetti bolognese or no alternative option to have a cow cheese rather than the vegan cheese paired with the bruschetta on the menu. but were impressed with the variety of spritz to choose from that were super refreshing. super creative menu with gluten free options and chef specials but very limited meat options for non-vegos anddessertoptions are small. we were a bit disappointed in the way staff didn't describe the chef specials it was just left for us to suss out on our own without any guidance, there was a 20 minute wait in between entree and mains, and again staff were a bit rude in how they asked us to leave (or lackthereof asking) just bill on the table with our servings ofdessertand 2 minutes later a card machine appeared. there was an extremely awkward moment when a waitress was in a hurry to move us along for the next sitting that ourdessertwas taken away half eaten. not in a hurry to go back but the hype drew us in.

what a funky idea for a restaurant. service was insanely good, atmosphere was vibrant and food was outstanding. we had the zucchini flowers which were filled with a smoked almond cured and deep fried, very different and really tasty. the gnocchi was freshly made which was unreal, the beetroot pasta was unique and very flavoursome and thedessertwas insane (vegan no-tella ravioli). this place is a definite must !!!!!!!!
