mario's donuts and cafe

jack of all trades but.... best! now i mean best gyros! the gyro omelet is pretty scrumptious, and a lot of there food is a great deal and tastes amazing. i am a fan, and probably stop by once a month and usually getdonutstoo. thedonutsare okay. not the best, but i get them in the afternoon and evening so that may be part of the mediocrity.

sometimes they have a flop. today i stopped by and decided to get a frappe, but it was a huge disappointment. the menu describes it as a latte blended to shake consistency, which is what a frappe is suppose to be. mine was liquid (no ice, no slush -- like water), cold, and just didn't taste good. it was a to go order, and i realized it until it was too late to complain and have it redone or refunded. blah! disgusting.

gyros. my sister has mentioned mario'sdonutsmany times but i procrastinated on going to mario's for the simple fact, during that time i didn't have a taste for donuts. one hungry afternoon i decided to take a trip to mario'sdonutsand cafe just to see what the cafe portion of the title meant so off i went. this place was busy for a donut shop i said to myself, so i stood in line,glanced at the menu in front of me and i saw a variety of foods i can get other than donuts(cafe portion of the menu) that's a good thing, including gyro's. being the hungry person that i am i decided to order the chicken and original gyro, greek salad and a baklava. as i patiently await the arrival of my gyro i over heard the customer behind me order the same thing and the customer after that. i must of hit the jackpot, could this be the house special? orders up! gyro's in hand and off i went. i can actually smell my food through the wrapper and that smell was nice. i tore through the wrapper because that aroma made me very happy even hungrier.i took my first bite of the chicken gyro (damn) this is delicious. it had fresh pita bread ,lean juicy chicken, veggies were fresh and crisp and the cucumber sauce was a cool and a silky texture that melts in your mouth not in your hands and did i mention the size of the gyro? the gyro was huge it was enough for two people . moving on to gyro number 2 which was the lamb, just as lean,fresh and big as the first also very tasty. after the gyro's i sampled my greek salad which was full of flavor and very refreshing. the feta cheese and dressing in the salad was yummy complete masterpiece . finally my dessert the baklava with its crisp phyllo,nuts and honey my favorite combination was a nice ending to a perfect lunch. mario'sdonutsand cafe exceeded my expectations in a huge way with their tasty treats. mario'sdonutsis located in a strip plaza with plenty of parking (no worries), prices are competitive and the customer service was great.

very delicious. thedonutsaren't amazing, but definitely good. the breakfast is fantastic and the gyros are pretty good too. nothing like it in st. charles county.

don't go there anymore. this place was the best donut shop in st. charles when it first opened. we especially liked the strawberry iceddonutsand long johns. after a while the owner sold the shop and suddenly thedonutsgot smaller and they never made strawberry icing, claiming it was too costly to make . so now i go to dunkindonutsbecause they are consistent and always have strawberry icing. also, several times my breakfast food order would be messed- up . once my sandwich got given away to another customer, and i had a ticket number for it!! again , it's a shame because when mario first opened the shop and ran it, things were great.

our new favorite. this place is great. the gyro is amazing, service is fast and friendly. all theirdonutsare very tasted. i wouldn't hesitate to give this place a try, it's so good.
we've had it to go as we'll and that did not disappoint.

while they were half an hour late opening up, i must say it was well worth the wait! i had no clue this little gem of a store was even there until i got adonutsbug at 5am!
amazing donuts!!

great menu!. nearly every friday morning, i take my daughter on a doughnut date. the problem is, i'm not a big fan of doughnuts. i enjoy one every now and then, but sweets aren't really my thing, especially for breakfast. after trying a couple of other doughnut shops around the area (and discovering that no one around here knows what a kolache is), i came across this wonderfully unique combination: mario'sdonutsand gyros!

my daughter loves their doughnuts better than the other places we tried. she enjoys the cream-filled powdered doughnuts, the ones with pink icing, and the ones with sprinkles. my wife enjoys the vanilla long johns. in addition, mario's has fritters, bagels, chocolate doughnuts, eclairs, cannoli, and even churros.

i have really enjoyed the southwest breakfast burrito and hashbrowns. i really love the gyro omelette. what a brilliant combination! the omelette is filled with gyro meat, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, and then topped with feta cheese. it is one of the tastiest omelettes i have ever eaten.

i have only been to mario's for breakfast, but i can't wait to get there for lunch or dinner to try their other items!

a real local gem of a place.... we love mario's. our family gets greatdonutsthere about 3x per month; it's our kids' favorite place to go. thedonutsare always fresh, tasty, and not overly coated with sweetness; just enough. lunch is great, too. our favorite place for gyros; always hot and fresh, cooked to order, and served with a delicious side like hummus. with a drink, you get a wholesome lunch for around $8....the service there is really friendly. the counter people move fast to take your order, but are never too rushed to greet you by name. say hi to moe or mario when you are in, and thank them for starting this great local business. so much better than any supermarket donut. free wifi, too, so i can have a cup of coffee and check up on my email while i'm there.

bestdonutsive had in ages. to tell you how good theirdonutsare my 10 yr old daughter dressed up as a donut for halloween and wore a sign that said krispy kreme sucks eat at marios. she was a walking advertisement and had to tell everyone about marios and how delicious they are. yummy

mario's on wolfrum. happened by this little place called "mario's" today. decided to go in and get a bite to eat. was i pleasantly surprised....the food was great. great cheeseburgers and the fries were to die for. even purchased a dozendonutsto take with me. these were the best i have ever had....you won't be sorry if you hit this place to eat.

love marios!. we were hesitant to try marios for the first time but who can resist a big donut sign?
my daughter brought some home one morning and omg!donutslike the old days! they are reminicent of the days when the helms bakery truck used to drive down the street and would run out to get some donuts! cant say enough good things about marios donuts. the people are great and go out of their way to make the customer happy! hmmmmmm....chocolate devils food sounds good for breakfast tomorrow!

yum. mario'sdonuts& cafe lures the unadventurous eaters of st. charles county in with their deliciousdonutsand then smacks them in the face with some amazing greek food. freaking brilliant. when i say amazing i mean some of the best greek food in all of st. louis. i'd choose mario's over olympia's any day...maybe even momos if they empolyed a belly-dancer. seriously. good. greek. food. run, don't walk, to mario's and for god's sake order a donut for dessert not as a main course. and please...don't pronounce the 'g' in gyro.

we love mario's!!. we take turns bringingdonutsevery friday at my work...most people, even if they don't live around here, bring mario's donuts! my favorite meal is the chicken philly sandwich, but also love the gyros w/extra cucumber sauce!! great service + great food = one of our favorite restaurants!

so yummy!. i have only been to mario's a few times, but they have such awesome, creative donut flavors! the owners and employees are so nice and personable, it's the kind of place you want to see succeed. they were so nice, before the local tutoring center shut down, they would bring thedonutsin for the kids when they closed. i wish i lived closer to give some of the other food a try!
