jack of all trades but.... best! now i mean best gyros! the gyro omelet is pretty scrumptious, and a lot of there food is a great deal and tastes amazing. i am a fan, and probably stop by once a month and usually get donuts too. the donuts are okay. not the best, but i get them in the afternoon and evening so that may be part of the mediocrity.

sometimes they have a flop. today i stopped by and decided to get a frappe, but it was a huge disappointment. the menu describes it as a latte blended to shake consistency, which is what a frappe is suppose to be. mine was liquid (no ice, no slush -- like water), cold, and just didn't taste good. it was a to go order, and i realized it until it was too late to complain and have it redone or refunded. blah! disgusting.

gyros. my sister has mentioned mario's donuts many times but i procrastinated on going to mario's for the simple fact, during that time i didn't have a taste for donuts. one hungry afternoon i decided to take a trip to mario's donuts and cafe just to see what the cafe portion of the title meant so off i went. this place was busy for a donut shop i said to myself, so i stood in line,glanced at the menu in front of me and i saw a variety of foods i can get other than donuts(cafe portion of the menu) that's a good thing, including gyro's. being the hungry person that i am i decided to order the chicken and original gyro, greek salad and a baklava. as i patiently await the arrival of my gyro i over heard the customer behind me order the same thing and the customer after that. i must of hit the jackpot, could this be the house special? orders up! gyro's in hand and off i went. i can actually smell my food through the wrapper and that smell was nice. i tore through the wrapper because that aroma made me very happy even hungrier.i took my first bite of the chicken gyro (damn) this is delicious. it had fresh pita bread ,lean juicy chicken, veggies were fresh and crisp and the cucumber sauce was a cool and a silky texture that melts in your mouth not in your hands and did i mention the size of the gyro? the gyro was huge it was enough for two people . moving on to gyro number 2 which was the lamb, just as lean,fresh and big as the first also very tasty. after the gyro's i sampled my greek salad which was full of flavor and very refreshing. the feta cheese and dressing in the salad was yummy complete masterpiece . finally my dessert the baklava with its crisp phyllo,nuts and honey my favorite combination was a nice ending to a perfect lunch. mario's donuts and cafe exceeded my expectations in a huge way with their tasty treats. mario's donuts is located in a strip plaza with plenty of parking (no worries), prices are competitive and the customer service was great.

great local small business. mario's is a great example of entreprenuers who love what they do and work hard to make their business a success.

that said, the food is great. i love the gyros and the hummas is fantastic. i don't eat donuts, but my kids think they are fantastic.

i love this shop. breakfast sandwich on a glazed doughnut is genius and i highly recommend it. also the non doughnut sandwich’s are good too but why even get think about that if doughnuts are an option!!!

just waited half an hour for two brekfest sandwichs and hash browns. three orders out past ours i went up to asked where our food was. i was told it was not ready due to hash browns taking longer to cook as they walked out with hashbrowns for the 4th ticket after ours. as i bring this up to the staff, the two people workong the counter are laughing at me and saying they can only work with what the kitchen gives them. i truly dont know if i will ever go back can not beleve how my family and i were treated at a place we visit frequently and always recommend to others.

we really like their donuts and the gyros. excellent food and service. something for everyone, even the kids. check them out!!! just typing this to get to 140.

if i could give mario's less than one star i would. i went to mario's on a holiday and the girl working was extremely rude and throwing donut boxes behind the counter. i was leaving and said have a good day, and she yelled "yeah whatever, would you want to be here." extremely poor customer service. i will not be returning.

very delicious. the donuts aren't amazing, but definitely good. the breakfast is fantastic and the gyros are pretty good too. nothing like it in st. charles county.

bad customer service!  i called in our lunch order and my husband braved the snowy roads to pick it up.  they gave him the wrong food...ordered hamburger, 2 breakfast sandwiches and a donut...received 3 gyros, a hamburger, and fried pickles!  he wasn't there when i called in the order and he wasn't sure they were giving him the right food.  but they told him that was the only phone in order of the day.  called back and asked them to cancel the charge to my credit card since we were not going back out in the weather and they wouldn't deliver the correct order...no manager there...and the girl on the phone was very rude.  couple days later i see the charge on my credit card so i call back and speak to a manager.  again rudeness!  she denies that they told my husband that our order was the only phone in order, that it was his fault and she won't refund our money.  she does offer a small gift certificate but why would i go back to their restaurant?

don't go there anymore. this place was the best donut shop in st. charles when it first opened. we especially liked the strawberry iced donuts and long johns. after a while the owner sold the shop and suddenly the donuts got smaller and they never made strawberry icing, claiming it was too costly to make . so now i go to dunkin donuts because they are consistent and always have strawberry icing. also, several times my breakfast food order would be messed- up . once my sandwich got given away to another customer, and i had a ticket number for it!! again , it's a shame because when mario first opened the shop and ran it, things were great.

will not go again. the food is pretty damn good! the service is horrendous!!! i have gone in a half dozen times and every time the guy behind the register is rude. the last time i went in he gave me beyond incorrect change. i gave him a $50 and my items totaled out to $22.xx. he gave me a ten a five and a one and some coins there was a ten and a one missing and the coins were incorrect. when i told him this he accused me of calling him a thief! he yelled at me in front of other costumers!! i am a 46 year old man. i have never felt more upset in my life. truly the worst experience i have ever had. i try and support local business because i own one myself and i know it can be tough sometimes. from now on i will exclusively go to paul's for my donuts.
