my favorite pizza in the world. i started going to marco's during its first spring in 2007 long before it was the arlington/vassar institution that it is today. the first thing that i noticed was that the pizza was hot and fresh. the dough was crispy on the bottom but never dry. and the toppings were packed on, never scattered thinly. gino, the owner and operator of marco's makes every pizza by hand, the old fashioned way. he always remembers his regulars' favorites and even gives vassar students somegreatdeals on pies (especially on superbowl sunday!). because of the variety of slices available at lunch time, on a couple occasions i've eaten marco's pizza every day for a week without getting tired of it -- its that good. i especially recommend the lasagna pizza with fresh ricotta cheese, the bacon-pineapple, the the chicken-broccoli and the ultra-doughy sicilian. other stuff: there is a large drink selection including vitamin water and in the summer you can cool down with some tasty italian ice. marco's is certainly the best pizza in the area. it may even be the best pizza in state or the country. go check it out!
