mango thai & pan-asian cuisine

wonderfulthaiday. from time-to-time i enjoy eating somethaifood and one place that i like to visit when i am downtown is mango thai. they make a delicious and flavourful curry that is well balanced with the various food item that you desire to order. worth while to visit and to make your own judgement....you won't be disappointed.

order their cashew chicken! yum!. this is one of my favourite downtown restaurants in kingston. the food is a fair price, around $10 for a meal. i always always order the cashew chicken, but i've had friends enjoy the padthaithere as well. the interior of the restaurant is tired, but please don't let that scare you away. you'll find lots of students dine there, but the dining area is quite long so i don't find people bother each other. i have them deliver to me in the west end of town, so they'll deliver pretty much anywhere in kingston.

this is the greatest place. the padthaiis amazing. the vietnamese spring rolls are amazing. everything is so good and it's cheap and casual, which is fabulous. top 3 favourite kingston restaurants.

good food and atmosphere. i like their padthai(though it can be a little to saucy at times) and theirthaiiced tea! i always order it when i eat at the restaurant.

greatthaiand chinese fusion menu! it's clean, service is fast and the food is consistently good! portions are massive so plan to bring some home unless you are very hungry!

i've tried a lot of the items on the menu here over the years. the place is cheap and the food is decent. i find the rice dishes here are only average, where you can get the exact same dishes but better at other places in kingston. however, i do like the padthaithat they make here, there is a sour tang in the sauce that i actually like a lot. would recommend the pad thai.

choose a different resturant. i have been coming to this restaurant for the past year and the service and food quality has went downhill. the past three times i have dined in, the servers have either forgot my order, overcharged me for my meal, and put items in the food that were requested to be taken out. i never once got an apology, only excuses that the staff are being trained. along with no apology, there was never an effort to discount my order after purchasing two drinks and waiting 50 minutes for food that was never brought to my table. after numerous let down from dining in, i thought i would try my luck with take out. after requesting to have two orders of house and vegetable padthaiwith no tofu, once again i was let down. both orders had tofu and the noodles had barley any sauce on them. this restaurant used to be my favoritethaicuisine, but unfortunately due to declining service and food quality, i will never return to this restaurant again.

there's betterthaiout there. i think there's betterthaiout there. this was fairly bland. i had the golden curry which was lack lustre. the padthaiwas also very boring. more take-out quality than a solidthaidining experience.

my husband and i had never been to mango, so we decided to go. never again. the problem started when i tried to orderthaiiced coffee. they were out. ok, fine,thaiiced tea. still a no go. fine. i ordered vegetable rolls and lemongrass beef vermicelli. hubs ordered roasted duck rolls (special). he asked what is the hottest food item they have and the server told him to get the green curry.
it took over half an hour to get our drink orders (water!) and apps. and almost an hour to get our food. the lemongrass beef was tepid. the supposedly spicest food they make was mild enough we could give it to our 11 month old. the chicken and beef were dry. the servers were very apolegetic, but offered nothing. they seemed to have an excuse for everything. they also seemed to spend a lot of time messing with the point of sale machine or chatting.

avoid mango. the food is mediocre, the amount of actual meat you get is very little, and the tables are all crammed together so tight that your always no more than 1 foot from your neighbor. i would recommend going to thethaihouse instead - its here in kingston, its cheaper, way better food, and better décor :)

love. this is the bestthaifood in kingston! i ordered the hot and sour chicken soup, panang curry, chicken spring rolls and beef stir fry. all were excellent! regularly going to order from here!!

with the addition of a newthairestaurant in kingston, mango is being phased out as my go to. i find their menu limited, though the portions are good. also, take out takes forever!!

absolutely horrible service! never again!. horrible service, horrible food, horrible horrible!! we waited close to two hours for food. two hours. and the foods arrived cold. cold. when we called them - they would not take the food back, they would not remake the foods. they only offered us 10% discount on future order. really? we spend $50 on food, wait 2 hours, get it cold.. and 10% of our next order (not this one.. next order). when i asked to talk to the manager.. i was flat our refused. something about policy?? customers can't talk to manager about cold food arriving 2 hours late?

this place will not get my money or any of my friends money. there are much better, cheaper alternatives at kingston forthaifood. avoid mangos at all costs.

quiet place, good food.. we stopped here at mango while visiting kingston. the food was very good, not as good as some realthaifood we have had in toronto, but was great for the price. we went at lunch time and it wasn't very busy -- we had padthaiand green curry and they were both great. the place was dead. the service was quick.. i don't think knee high army boots and denim shorts are really waitress appropriate but she was nice enough. good place to eat especially for cheap, but it would be nice if the servers were a bit more professional, would probably make the entire restaurant feel more authentic rather than cheap fastthaifood.

i've got to be completely honest with all you food lovers out there, mango is a diamond in the rough. this quiet little restaurant in the heart of kingston serves some of the most deliciousthaicuisine i have ever had. the prices are very moderate and for what you pay, you receive a very generous portion of food. that being said i have been here 3x this year with my girlfriend and i am sad to say the service has taken a nose dive. our first two attempts to eat here were thwarted by the serving staff themselves as we had to wait more than 5 minutes not only to be seated but to just be handed a menu. our second last visit we sat at a table for more than 10 minutes and were never even approached by a single server. we did dine there last night and i must admit we had a very nice waitress who did her best to make amends of the previous visits. i want to say visit but be wary of the service!
