what a treat!. this is a rare and true jewel in miami! the food is simple but very good and priced to delight. the ambience is a+ because the patrons are cosmopolitan but not pretentious at all.

i hesitate telling others about this place as i don't want it to be corrupted by its own success!

after visiting this popular restaurant a couple of times with a group of friends and trying almost everything on their menu, i surely feel the place is a little overrated in light of a very competitive miami market for upscale greek restaurants. the food especially the seafood is not always perfectly cooked or presented. it's a little of a hit and miss in most cases.

this is the best turkish/greek restaurant in town. it is far beyond from their competitors. food is delicious! atmosphere and ambiance is great. service is outstanding! i definitely recommend this place. octopus, kofte, sucuk, sea bass, chicken sish, greek salad, hummus, tatziki, babaganush, etc all delicious! sangria is too...

it has definitely a great atmosphere and the food is excellent. in addition, it’s one of the few restaurants in miami where you can eat outdoors. for those who don't like the heat, there’s a room with air conditioner at the end of the restaurant.

food is ok certainly nit anything close to what the rating on urbanspoon might suggest. someother city it would be just ordinary
so if you are a connoisseur of this type of cuisine you might not be that impressed

mandolin aegean bistro is the closest thing you’ll get to greece in miami. i was more than excited to go when a friend suggested we meet there for a catch-up dinner. tucked away in miami’s design district, mandolin’s cozy nature offers the greatest backdrop for the best greek & turkish food in town. before having gone to the restaurant, i read up on it and i didn’t realize that they actually grew their own produce in an adjacent organic garden. in an interview i read from miami new times, owner ahmet erkaya stated , ”we aren’t a chef-driven restaurant. we’re an ingredient-driven restaurant.” the open plot boasts tomatoes, peppers, greens, and herbs. this fact made me love them even more. walking in, i fell in love with the outdoor area. while my night was meant for catching up over some fabulous sangria, this place is the epitome of a perfect date night spot. hear that boys? i mean, if you’re looking to impress a fine young lady, look no further. the night lights up with magic

worst so-called greek restaurant in the western hemisphere!!!. all excited to finally revisit this restaurant, a after three years absence. apparently the fame that it enjoys now has changed the quality of the food and service. not only were the waiters and maitre d extremely unfriendly and obnoxious to the point of rudeness, but the food was either undercooked or burnt. and cold, at the same time. in the winter, the heaters in the terrace could burn the skin off your body. the fish was overcooked and dry, the stuffed greek zucchinis were cold, undercooked and tasteless. complained to the waiter, who asked why i had barely touched it, and received a blank stare, like, how dare you question our gourmet expertise?!! having been to greece ons several occasions, this is far from greek cuisine, it is a low cost, overpriced restaurant with a serious attitude problem. i would strongly not recommend this restaurant. they must laugh all the way to the bank with the money of uneducated, easily impressed customers who think they are actually eating greek food!!!

great atmosphere. first time going here for an early dinner before heading to a show. although they take reservations, i called the morning of and they were booked, but they said since we were coming early that we wouldn't have a problem as walk ins. we arrived at 6:30 and were seated right away. as we sat it really filled up, and by the time we left it was full. reservations are recommended! this is such a cute place and larger than i thought. most ding i'd outside in a garden area, but there is inside dining too. the shared samplers are generous portions and yummy, more than enough for 5 to share. for mains three of us had the chicken kabobs (excellent!). the moussaka was disappointing, not so good. the pasta dish seemed like all the ingredients of the moussaka just assembled differently. the shared baklava was perfect. all in all some hits and some misses, but we will certainly try again.
