mandarin bistro chinese & thai restaurant

we tried this restaurant because they got a 4.4 good rating. idk how that could possibly be. we(there was 3 of us)were the only ones in the restaurant at 5:30. and no one came in the entire time we were there.placewas clean but the food was awful! hot and sour soup was the best thing i had at this restaurant but it was very spicy, and i like spicy food. our fresh spring rolls had a tiny bit of chicken and egg. never had egg in a fresh spring roll ever! when we saw they had egg in them and informed the owner that we couldn’t eat those bc my husband is allergic to eggs. she merely said ok and then walked away. the pepper steak had the most “chewy” beef i have ever tasted. plus there was maybe 6 small slices of beef and an abundance of peppers and onions. they should change the name to “onions and peppers with a few slices of beef”. we also had honey sesame chicken. the entire entree had maybe 12 chunks of chicken and the overall taste was just ok. the bill was over $37.00, we had 3 soups, fresh spring rolls, pepper steak and honey sesame chicken. seems like a high price for very little food that didn’t taste very good. will never make this mistake a second time.

i don't recommend thisplaceto anyone looking for good or even decent asian food. i ordered the pho and it was so bland. the portions of bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, and jalapeño were small and old. the lime that i got was old and dried up. the service was slow and bad. i will never return i this place!

person from northwest arkansas. i like thisplaceand eat there pretty often. i like to get the lomein noodles instead of the fried rice, however they cannot ever make up their mind as to how much that substitution is. one day it's a dollar, next time it's two dollars and then a dollar more the next time. it's very irritating. i am willing to pay a dollar more but no more then that!

thisplacesmells bad from the minute you enter! i think it smells like dirty chickens that go down the road to george's ! food was not very good. also the owner's kids were too loud on their ipads watching disney movies in the booth across from us. how unprofessional to have kids standing in a booth eating messy popsicles and being loud! not an enjoyable place. we will never go back. ever!

very friendly service and appreciative feel. the food actually tastes real. i have ate at the previous restaurant the owners have had and they were great as well. the food is fresh and not shy about putting sauce on the meat. i give thisplacea thumbs up and will forever return when i want great service and food.

i can not recommend thisplaceenough. if you like chinese or thai food you should come here. $8 for a lunch special. again i say, you should at least try it.

patti627. i love thisplace!! can't say enough good things about it. the pineapple curry with tofu is absolutely delicious. the people that work there are so very nice and polite.
cozy atmosphere. eat there once or twice a week.

i don't see why thisplaceis recommended. i have eaten here once and it was awful and the waitress was rude and i couldn't even understand her. thisplacealso "delivers" but only if you are a business. i don't live that far from here and you won't deliver because i'm not a business. well i hope people will soon realize the fraudulence that thisplaceis

awesome thai food!!!. i love to eat thai food and have eaten at all the thai places in springdale so i decided to try mandarin for dinner tonight. i'm glad i did because the food was awesome,-this will be my new go-toplacefor thai food in springdale. it's perfect for a picky family because they offer both thai and chinese foods. i had their thai food tonight and will be back next time to try something off their chinese menu.

new favorite!. now that they have moved to a new location on 71b in springdale, we finally gave thisplacea try (my sister has been raving about it for months). it was fantastic!

i used to be a fan of far east but after several horrible experiences with the rude owners and incompetent staff, we stopped going. i have now found their replacement!!!!

the egg rolls and crab rangoon at mandarin bistro are the best i've ever had - nothing at all like the horrible buffet restaurants in the area. fried rice looked a little off but tasted amazing. good price, huge portions and food tasted great. they recently started delivery and delivered to our office today. food was hot, fresh and on time. delivery driver was pleasant and a joy to deal with. we will defintely order again - weekly if not more often.

just wow. thisplacehas excellent food for a great price. their service is very quick and very friendly and their food is delicious. i'm not sure if you would call it authentic, but whenever i'm looking for a classic (american) chinese restaurant, this is definitely where i plan on going.

we both ordered noodle dishes, and included with those dishes was the salad bar with soup and small desserts. we had plenty of food left over for lunch the next day.

one word....mmmmmm! my wife and i tried thisplacelast night and it was as good as i had read on here about. great service, good prices, and man do they give you a lot of food, which is surprising these days. you will have plenty to take home. we got the mongolian beef and kung pow chicken and both got some hot and sour soup. the hot and sour had great flavor, but man was it spicy hot! almost too hot. i liked it but my wife thought it was too hot. and we love hot and sour soup. we get it at every chinese place. this is probably my top two hot and sour, and possibly top overall chinese place. we have eaten at a lot of chinese places too. including pf changs. just as good but more food and cheaper. try it!!

best i've found in arkansas. the mandarin bistro is friendly and it is a pleasantplaceto dine or get take out. we have tried several of their dishes and have been happy with all. i love kung pao chicken and the first time i ordered it was sweet. where we lived before it wasn't sweet, so i ask if they could make it not sweet for me and they made it with the brown sauce and i love it and order it often. their fried rice is excellent, it's not greasy. we have tried many other chinese restaurants in the area and not compare!

extremely happy stomach. my wife pulled in front of the padrissimo dance club in tontitown to a small corner chinese restaurant without much expectation, but i heard thisplacehas springfield cashew chicken so we have to go try it. this is one thing i miss for years of moving up here. to my surprise, this restaurant actually looked upscale from the inside. a small cozy room filled with multi-color lanterns eased my nerves. hooray to all the rumors, they do have my springfield cashew chicken, on top of that, we got soup and salad from their complimentary bar at no charge. sign me in, i found my favorite chinese place. it is reasonably price and delicious. thank you for my springfield cashew chicken!
