manci's antique club restaurant

first- i need you to know that today you lost multiple customers and food reviews. we drove 20 minutes out of the way of our trip to florida to come here. we were really looking forward to it. we arrived to the restaurant at 2:05. we sat down immediately as it was not lunch rush hour. we placed our drink and food order within 5 minutes. we ordered 5 different burgers with pre-done sides such as chips, pasta salad, potatoe salad.

then, there was the wait. it wasn't a regular wait or a rush hour wait - but a slow painful never ending wait. the waitress would pass by once in awhile and tell us the order is cooking now, it's nearly ready, it's being 'put together'....we waited 30, 45, 60 minutes...we asked about our order 3 times. there were two entire tables who came in the door after us, sat down, ordered, ate, and left...still no food. we set a time to leave 3:30 and that too was passed. the service was horrific and we never got our food. there was no intervention, no apologies, nogoodbusiness practice.
as we left, another family drove up with two kids and asked us how it was - we told them we had no idea because we waited 1 hour 20 minutes and never got our food. they left too...
i hope this can be rectified...or you will be closing your doors within 6 months.

usuallygoodbut.... i've been here twice. the first time was good, we had 6 people and called in the order. the meal went smooth and the food was good. went back today for a work birthday lunch and called the order in, but some people were unable to make it. this irritated the server so much she essentially stopped serving us. almost refused to get us anything else to include refills, utensils, or to go boxes. after this treatment i do not know if i will ever go back which is unfortunate because the food was good. all in all your trip may be hit or miss,goodluck.

don't be afraid of a little dust. back in 2005-2006, i thought manci's was an antique car club. a few years ago, i saw it on diners, drive-ins and dives, and was surprised to learn they serve food.

thank goodness we finally tried it! the food, what we had anyway, was great. i ordered the jazzy burger (not just for the name but also because it sounded good) and the thing is huge and they use quality ground beef. the jazz sauce on it is like a sweet and tangy pepper jelly. it was so good! the hubs ordered a soft shell crab po-boy, which was also delicious! we started with fried mushrooms and they were not your run-of-the-mill fried mushrooms. i'm ready to go back for brunch after church on sunday when they'll be serving up chicken and waffles.

after dinner, we hit the bar for a second. i'm not much of a bar fly, but this is the kind of bar i enjoy. there's no loud music, and it's not smoky or crowded. you'll meet a few nice folks and manci has agoodselection of drinks. this is definitely a grown-ups bar.

the service is outstanding and the prices are reasonable.

if you're afraid of a little dust, this probably isn't the place for you. there's a lot of if. you can't imagine the collectibles in this place. there's old phonographs, a carriage, a phone booth, mardi gras memorabilia, and a plethora of other "treasures". we were in awe of the jim beam bottle collection, and we don't even drink jim beam. the old gas pumps were so cool, and we learned that one of them was actually used when this place was a gas station. if you like that kind of stuff, then you have one more reason to check out manci's. we loved it! i can't wait to take my mamma and daddy there!

ladies, don't forget to look "under the fig leaf" when you go in the restroom. (blushing!). ;)

i've been going to manci's for some years.. love the soft shell crab poboy. burgers are great.. atmosphere is prettygoodtoo.

brunch and bloody mary's. my husband and i have only been for brunch several times and have been very happy with our meal. classic brunch menu with huge portions and a pretty darngoodbloody mary. would recommend.
