i thought the food was really bad. sides were canned. sauces were most likely from a (bad) packet mix. chicken pie had almost no chicken. other much better quality restaurants in town are rated at 3.6-4.0, yet mzm's gets a 4.2....? is there just a campaign of employees family and friends voting it up so people willeatthere. it's hard to believe that many people seriously think it's that good.

never again. i went toeatthere on my lunch break and will never go back. first of all the waitress was beyond rude. also i asked for water with extra lemon and was told i could only have two lemons if i wanted more i would be charged for a drink. i have never had this problem anywhere else. then i was going to order dessert. the waitress just put my ticket on the table and did not say a thing to me or even look at me. so i waited and tried to get her attention and could never get it. i waited until the line got down at the check out counter and then decided it was going no where to jump in line. there were several people in front of me as well as behind me. the lady working the register jumped to customers at the back of the line and started helping them. the man in front of me was getting very upset (which i don't blame him). so finally it's my turn. i walk up and she says "yes" i just looked at her and gave her my ticket and debit card. her response, " ugh! do you not have any cash?! our debit machine is down!" first of all i don't ever carry cash and i shouldn't be yelled at for it. i told her no i don't have any cash, and she told me that i would have to come back to pay for my meal... i told her i worked on the other side of town and i was only there for work. i later stopped back by and the machine was still down. i have never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant. the whole staff was rude, and the food was bland. i do not recommend eating here.

love this place!. we live very close to this restaurant and we go there quite often. i absolutely love their food., i can't imagine anybody not liking it. weeatthere all the time. breakfast, lunch and dinner..my father owned restaurants for 22 years and i find nothing wrong with their food. i love their pancakes,,they use fresh fruit and not the syrup pie filling stuff, they have a huge menu and nice portions,,i have never had anything i didn't like,,their chicken pot pie is awesome and as big as it is still comes with two sides, they have great french fries and tons of veggies, i still can't imagine what the people that did not like this place are complaining about.

i tried but i couldn't do it. we went to this restaurant expecting home cooked food and realized that some people must noteatwell at home. we came in the door and looked at the decor and all i started thinking, "when is gordon ramsey going to jump out and start screaming?"-- faded, dated decorations that went out 30 years ago. we were seated in a booth with broken down cushions. even the menu covered in plastic was faded. when i asked for a coke, the waitress said, "no coke, only pepsi." by then, i was waiting for dan ackroyd to start yelling, "cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger!" the soda that we were brought tasted like it had come from a filthy fountain and that was it for us. we could endure no more; we politely excused ourselves before ordering a thing. if this is home style, soul food, my mama must have been doing something wrong.

halloween horror. i have seen the show 'restaurant impossible' and often thought that they must be making that stuff up.......nope. this place did everything that those places do. the decor was dated circa 1988. all of the food was either from a can or pre-packaged. nothing that we had was even remotely close to home-made. the childrens spaghetti portion was more than an adult could eat, so you know they are not making any money on it. i can see this place on that show in a year or two. the one nice thing i will say about it is that the staff was friendly. i had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes which came with two sides (i chose "glazed" carrots and spinach) the brown gravy was worse than a middle school cafeteria, and very obviously from a powder mix. the steak was fine, i guess. the "mashed potatoes" were actually instant potatoes with no seasoning, but no worries there....the sodium content in the gravy powder took care of it. the "glazed" carrots had no glaze and were very mushy, so i am assuming they dumped them out of a can and heated them up, or if i give them the benefit of the doubt, they were grossly overcooked and had no glaze on them. the spinach was undoubtedly frozen spinach that was cooked in the microwave. my wife got the chicken pie. there was almost no chicken in it (this is not an exaggeration). the gravy inside the chicken pie was also from a mix, and was awful. she could barelyeatit. actually she just waited til we got home and heated up some leftovers. my 4 and 5 year old daugters got the fried shrimp, which they were happy with (its tough to mess that up) and we got them carrots as well. theyeatvegetables very well, since we cook them at home with every meal, and would noteatthe gross carrots. we didnt make them, since we couldnteatthem either. my 1 year old got the biggest portion of all with the childs spaghetti. it was more than an adult could eat. it also resembled the school cafeteria food. i have to say that i have seriously lost faith in urban spoon after this experience. its rated at 91%, with over 100 votes. who are these people. have they ever eaten anything besides chef boy-ar-dee raviolis? this was literally the worst restaurant i have ever eaten at. i could not believe we paid for that.

colorblind maybe?. i am a black woman, and i came into zoe's to place a take out order, the young lady at the counter never addressed me. then a white gentleman walked in and she immediately said "take out" i just stood there, then i looked at my skin and all around me as if i was checking to see if i had something on me and finally she said can i help you. she never smiled or made me feel welcome i ordered but felt very uncomfortable. i don't think i'll be taking my grandchildren there toeatanytime soon,

scooter. i gave a bad review back in june about their takeout.
it was partly me that day. i noweattheir several times a week. this is one of our favorite places and the staff is always great. the beautiful young woman (one of the owners) that runs it, zina, is awsome. i f you have any problems at all go to her and she will make it right!!!!!!!!!!!!! your misfortune if you don't try eating their!!

scooter. i think their take out sucks and so does their attitude. a simple request about lettuce and guess what ????
the customer is wrong!!! no offer to redo or anything!
want get taken their again ~!!!!!~~ total waste of time and money!!

the service and food are excellent. we love mama zoe michael's. we probablyeatthere two or three times a week. i can't think of anything we have ordered that is not delicious! we love the wait staff, they always put up with our corny stories. best part is that once they know it's ok to joke with you, they dish it right back. of course you always have those people like scooter who come in with a bad attitude. what else can i say. do yourself a favor, go there.....try the pittsburger.
