neighborhood place with great food. every time i return to detroit, mamarosa'sis one of two restaurants that i must stop in and have a meal. i have been eating their food for 25 years and will continue for another 25. the food is consistent in taste, portion size, and the prices are very reasonable. their cheese bread with sauce is spot on. the pizza has a flavorful sauce that isn't too sweat or spicy and the crust holds up to as many ingredients you can pile on, but is not too hard or chewy. the baked mostacolli is perfectly cooked with a sauce that isn't too runny or sweat and it comes to the table as cheesy goodness.
