the best pizza around and it's hard to say exactly what makes it so good. the crust has flavor that is hands down the best among any pizza around. the sauce is their own. there must be a unique family recipe at... mama rosa's. it's just better than any other pizza on every level and worth the trip. the small dining room, tables and booths, is packed for dinner and carry out is busy too. opens at 4 pm. the service is excellent and the servers are literally running when it gets busy. the restaurant is clean and very inviting. this is a favorite place to visit when i am in the area.

best chicken parm around. small family neighbor hood restaurant where, when you've dined there once, your always remembered. all the food is cooked fresh, and i have yet to have one bad thing. try the bread sticks with the fabulous marinara sauce, and then finish it off with the chicken parm.. and yes, each dish is enough to feed two.

dont go to mama rosas. just awful.. made the trip from 9/harper just cuz all these dumb grosse pointers say it is so good.. never been more dissapointed with a pizza ever, and we bought square and round!!! worst pizza ive ever had and i consider myself a true pizza connoisseur... i absolutely love pizza but these grosse pointers are on some rocks cuz i read alot of reviews on this place and they all said it was the best in gp... i gotta say that i really feel bad for u people who think that is good pizza cuz you obviously have never had good pizza. if youre considering going to mama rosas do yourself a fovor and dont cuz this place sux!!!!! pick yourself up a hot n ready and save a trip and $$ cuz thats what id compare it to and thats being nice.........

wonderful!. i just love mama rosa's whether i dine in or carry out. their menu has wonderful variety without being overwhelming. i love the personal service. the prices are right and the food is just fantastic. the ribs slide off the bone -- even without bbq sauce -- although folks rave about the sauce. their antipasto salad is the best ever. times are tough financially, but when you dine at mama rosa's you can enjoy a wonderful meal and have leftovers for two more days.

neighborhood place with great food. every time i return to detroit, mama rosa's is one of two restaurants that i must stop in and have a meal. i have been eating their food for 25 years and will continue for another 25. the food is consistent in taste, portion size, and the prices are very reasonable. their cheese bread with sauce is spot on. the pizza has a flavorful sauce that isn't too sweat or spicy and the crust holds up to as many ingredients you can pile on, but is not too hard or chewy. the baked mostacolli is perfectly cooked with a sauce that isn't too runny or sweat and it comes to the table as cheesy goodness.

the best ribs and pizza!. although known for its pizza i think the ribs are the best in metropolitan detroit.

amazing pizza, me and a couple of my friends tried to tackle there 30" pizza (if you est the whole thing in less than half an hour u get it free)and failed...but we still got our pictures posted on there wall !
