这家不知道为何还能有4.7的高分。实际上非常非常非常非常一般。环境还行吧，味道真的太一般了。这个价位的晚餐在悉尼味道绝对比这个好吃多了。
首先，这家上菜太慢了！！！薯条都等了三四十分钟。摊手了，呵呵。
薯条还不如随便一家cafe 的水平。头盘茄子和主菜牛排的底，都是一样的。甜菜为主。毫无创意，呵呵。
主菜鸡肉，就是一半炸鸡排，一半煎鸡胸肉那种。然后在放点乱七八糟的在旁边。
牛排的火候倒是还行。

总之不咋地，评分虚高，压根没有4.7的水平，呵呵了。

another glowing review for malt team. the six course degustation with the matched wines proved to be an excellent choice for a double birthday and wedding celebration. everything was beautifully judged, and was complemented by attentive but subtle service. we'll be back next time we're up from adelaide.

my fave restaurant! the food is amazing, cocktails delicious and the staff could not be more friendly and efficient. the dark lights and pianist create a relaxed and enjoyable ambience.

really great spot for lunch at very reasonable prices. the duck ragu with ricotta balls has a really nice balance of flavours, though today was a little bland. ambience is casual and comfortable, but still very professional. great place to take colleagues. service was quite good. great spot to add to your regular list of cbd suggestions.

great little spot to get whisky and a snack or meal. a bartender that actually knows their bourbon and whiskey. worth a try for sure, loved the cheese platter with a drink.

completely bemused as to how this rates so highly. four of five dishes well below acceptable from a restaurant of this standing. roasted peppers appetiser: so hot it detracted from the dish and ruined ability to taste the second appetiser. scallops special entree: scallops over-cooked and very much over-powered by the smokey slow-cooked pork and strangely matched with rubbery shitakes. lamb shoulder main: accompanying grain so salty it was rendered inedible and very little sauce to help swallow dry lamb. pork belly main: pork generally dry, smoked over sauce tasted simply like bottled oyster sauce, and sweet potato puree so thin it lacked the consistency of baby food. wrong bottle of wine served. ended up having to pour own wine and water out. would not recommend nor visit again.

scotch bar downstairs was the highlight of the evening. the irish bartender knew his stuff and was very informative.

upstairs in the restaurant we were very disappointed with the food.
cold meat platter didn't have enough bread.
mrs main was the lamb with barely. there was more chunks of fat than actual lamb.
i love salt but the barely was so so salty it was not edible.

the waiter didn't have a clue about their extensive wine list and we were informed "this was the more popular" of the bottles..
i was asking about the difference is the 2 temp's on the red wine list.

for our troubles and my fiancé not even eating 1/4 of her main (not offering to replace it) due to the lumps of fat, we were given a token gesture 5% off..
i was in better of moods (due to the lovely scotch downstairs) and didn't object. in all honesty at $290 for mains, entree and a sweet with a bottle of wine this place was a total let down. i was eagerly looking forward to visiting this place since we moved up from melbourne in feb, but i was let down.
i will be back for the scotch though!

ate in the bar as opposed to the restaurant. good ambiance, good food, air conditioned which was very welcome in summer. will definitely go back to experience the restaurant upstairs

visited malt on countless recommendations from foodie friends and definitely was not disappointed. this place is amazing. my partner and i shared an entrée (scallops), had our own main (steak and the market fish) plus sides and then shared the signature brownie. everything was perfection, although next time i would forgo the entrée and sides so that we can fit a brownie in each (it's that good)!

a very enjoyable meal. the young staff were excellent- friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. starters of roo tail pasta and beef salad were well presented and tasty. lamb rump main was to die for.

restaurant is tucked away upstairs in a dark room full of old-school character. they waitresses took half an hour to ask us what we wanted to eat, despite not being overly busy on a monday evening. we had scallops for entree (nice), pork belly shareplate with brussel sprouts and duck fat potatoes. not a fan of the potatoes - hard and not really tasting the duck fat... brussel sprouts grew on me but was not what i was expecting. it's more like brussel sprouts chips? the pork belly was really nice though with cabbage and peaches. the waitresses ask when paying the bill if you'd like to tip them. overall, a little disappointed in the place as my bf had raved about it but still a little above average.

definitely the most amazing meal i have had in brisbane. the taste of malt which is only available monday to thursday is definitely the way to do it with the five course tasting menu. the pan fried gnocchi was the standout.

well established malt dining adds to the growing trend of multi-level establishments with a restaurant and bar. housed in an old market building that was built in the 1800s, the interior keeps much of the original feel, from the exposed brickwork to the timber flooring and the open peaked roof. there are three levels to malt – the ground level bar, an upstairs restaurant that is aptly named “attic” and the below ground cellar with a private dining room.

love the atmosphere. you can definitely spend some time here - bar located at first floor. main dining area locate on second floor.

entree: oysters were not fresh enough. love the scollop n beef with 62 degree egg.
main: we had duck breast, chicken n daily special beef. overall was good.

desert: malt brownie!! best of the night. must have!
