it’s my bday! and theres no better way to celebrate than to splash out on some fine dining. we decided on this occasion to spare no expense and go for all three courses. i chose the terrine, wagyu beef cheeks and apple tart and my wife decided on the quail, duck and creme brulee. first to the atmosphere and service. the restaurant setting wasn’t anything new or amazing but it set a relaxing mood with the brick walls, white table cloths, dim lights and large artwork. service was top notch as expected with this class of restaurant and the waitress/waitors would go into extreme detail of each of the components of the dish when they brought them out. both entrees were pretty good. the terrine was tasty and the quail tart was pretty interesting. mains were also well done, the wagyu and beef cheeks were cooked really well and it was interesting to have the different textures on the same dish. both desserts were also really tasty. overall it was a pretty good night and malt has set the
