this place is amazing, i came here for my anniversary with my fiancé and everything from the food service & atmosphere is excellent would recommend it to anyone!

malt just about triples the overall quality of dining in brisbane. attentive and friendly waitstaff, non-pretentious atmosphere, and importantly, incredible food with a good wine list to go with it. catering to special dietary needs was also sincerely appreciated. top notch.

feb 2020. belated review but went here with the partner for date night dinner. we took advantage of the fork discount as well as a dinner gift voucher.
we had the "feed me" option, which was a very good experience of the delicious and innovative meal options that malt dining offered. no faults.
service was friendly and efficient. smart casual ambience with a lovely ambience for special intimate occasions. reasonable prices for the quality and quantity.
overall, an impeccable dining experience. highly recommend.

    it’s my bday! and theres no better way to celebrate than to splash out on some fine dining. we decided on this occasion to spare no expense and go for all three courses. i chose the terrine, wagyu beef cheeks and apple tart and my wife decided on the quail, duck and creme brulee. first to the atmosphere and service. the restaurant setting wasn’t anything new or amazing but it set a relaxing mood with the brick walls, white table cloths, dim lights and large artwork.  service was top notch as expected with this class of restaurant and the waitress/waitors would go into extreme detail of each of the components of the dish when they brought them out. both entrees were pretty good. the terrine was tasty and the quail tart was pretty interesting.  mains were also well done, the wagyu and beef cheeks were cooked really well and it was interesting to have the different textures on the same dish.  both desserts were also really tasty. overall it was a pretty good night and malt has set the

service was abd and the food was not great. food was pretty decent if a bit conservative although for the price i would expect some quality. service was a bit lacking ordered a bottle of champange and it was left out getting warm while we sat around with empty glasses, then the food and wine for the meal came out.

special experience. my wife and i celebrated our anniversary by having dinner here. we are world travellers and the food is equal or better than any michelin rated restaurant we have eaten in. the wait staff are friendly, efficient and non-intrusive. thank you malt for a very special evening.

only spoiler was the bouncer who seemed to want to harass the female members of our party for ids and paid particular attention to the details on them.

had a degustation here a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.. our waiter was extremely knowledgable with his dishes and wines which we always like, when it comes to a degustation. the interior of the restaurant is quite dark and cosy, perfect for the romantic dates!

what a spectacular dining experience! we came here for my mums 60th and had the most delightful night. staff were wonderful, and the food was simply amazing. best of all, they catered for gluten free in a very considered manner. cannot recommend this place highly enough!

absolutely fabulous! dined here with my husband on friday and we were so impressed. beautiful, intimate restaurant with decor. the food was delicious with good sized servings and very polite, attentive staff who explained each element of the dish. we can't wait to return!!

i loved the staff, the atmosphere and the food. i've eaten all over the world and this definitely rates as a fabulous dining experience. my one tiny criticism would be that vegetarian options are a bit limited, but the staff were wonderfully accommodating and i ended up with a really memorable dish! i have been highly recommending it to everybody i know!

we had great service, the food arrived surprisingly quickly and tasted incredible. the menu was varied, the atmosphere was wonderful and all the staff (not just our servers) were attentive and courteous. i would definitely eat there again and have been recommending it to everyone i know!

malt bistro not malt dining. don't get me wrong. we loved the food at malt, but the service let it down.
i had to top up my wine from the bottle twice and the sparkling water once for my wife and myself.
the pork scratching was forgotten when my main was brought to the table.
my soufflé was brought to the table before my wife's malt brownie.
the birthday card to my wife from all the staff was a lovely touch.
we dined there early, so i'd not like to experience the service when it's actually busy.

we came with high expectations and were slightly disappointed. we had the 6 course menu, the food was fine.. nothing amazing or spectacular and portion sizes were tiny. there are many other restaurants who produce great dishes with better value. at $99 pp we expected at least more quantity if not better quality.
service was wonderful tho.

the market beef just melted in your mouth. excellent service and beautiful wine to compliment the meal.
