maiko sushi

some of the best sushi on the island.. i've eaten alot of sushi around the island and in victoria but maiko sushi keeps me going back. the fact the ingredients are so fresh and that the sushi is made right in front of you makes it great. excellent customerserviceand even better sushi.

the food was amazing. my wife and i found the five plates we tried very tasty. the sushi was made fresh right in front of us. we left the place very satisfied and will visit maiko sushi again in the future.

welcoming. tried this out for lunch. i ordered the spicy tuna roll and spicy scallop roll. both were fresh and delicious which i find is rare for sashimi in victoria. i was also glad they didn't use the cheap tasting green tea i find in a lot of restaurants. theservicewas also pleasant and attentive.

my boyfriend and i came to maiko sushi because we were looking for good sushi restaurants while visiting the island (we are from edmonton). we were not disappointed! the food was delicious and fresh, and theservicewas pleasant and on pointe. as my boyfriend said while eating "ermagerd!!!" maiko sushi has set a standard for us that will never be met in alberta! thanks so much for the most delicious sushi!!!

a hidden gem of a place in langford's goldstream village tucked away beside city hall.
we ordered tuna toro roll, salmon cowboy, and dynamite and all were very good. not huge in size but intentional so every bite is fresh, flavourful and just right. prices are pretty appropriate for the portion. menu is limited, making preparation manageable for the lone sushi chef. can see how this place could get quite busy with only two staff members working. patience is key. it was a little bit of a wait for our food. restaurant is tiny, quaint and very clean, andserviceis friendly and attentive - the couple are nice, hardworking people and genuinely care about the experience offered to customers visiting their restaurant. there were only two tables occupied when we visited on a tuesday evening, with many people stopping in for take-out. we noticed everyone else were "regulars" on a first name basis with the owners. can't wait to go back and be regulars ourselves!

fresh!. maiko sushi has the most delicious spicy salmon cone and negitoro roll.serviceis amazing and fish is always fresh and tasty. i haven't tried everything on the menu but i'm sure it's all delicious.
