maiko sushi

some of the best sushi on the island.. i've eaten alot of sushi around the island and in victoria but maiko sushi keeps me going back. the fact the ingredients are so fresh and that the sushi is made right in front of you makes it great. excellent customer service and even better sushi.

best sushi in victoria. this small, quiet little sushi restaurant in the west shore is a hidden gem.
the menu is simple, but the sushi is the freshest and most carefully prepared you'll find on the island. try the toro, it will melt in your mouth.

best sushi in town.. absolutely amazing. we just moved to langford and its now our fave sushi place, we literally eat there 3 times a week. the staff are so incredibly friendly every time they greet you with a smile and the sushi is always so fresh and delicious. prices are great too!

welcoming. tried this out for lunch. i ordered the spicy tuna roll and spicy scallop roll. both were fresh and delicious which i find is rare for sashimi in victoria. i was also glad they didn't use the cheap tasting green tea i find in a lot of restaurants. the service was also pleasant and attentive.

my boyfriend and i came to maiko sushi because we were looking for good sushi restaurants while visiting the island (we are from edmonton). we were not disappointed! the food was delicious and fresh, and the service was pleasant and on pointe. as my boyfriend said while eating "ermagerd!!!" maiko sushi has set a standard for us that will never be met in alberta! thanks so much for the most delicious sushi!!!

a hidden gem of a place in langford's goldstream village tucked away beside city hall.
we ordered tuna toro roll, salmon cowboy, and dynamite and all were very good. not huge in size but intentional so every bite is fresh, flavourful and just right. prices are pretty appropriate for the portion. menu is limited, making preparation manageable for the lone sushi chef. can see how this place could get quite busy with only two staff members working. patience is key. it was a little bit of a wait for our food. restaurant is tiny, quaint and very clean, and service is friendly and attentive - the couple are nice, hardworking people and genuinely care about the experience offered to customers visiting their restaurant. there were only two tables occupied when we visited on a tuesday evening, with many people stopping in for take-out. we noticed everyone else were "regulars" on a first name basis with the owners. can't wait to go back and be regulars ourselves!
worth a visit.

this is my families favorite sushi restaurant. the sushi is always fresh and delicious! really nice couple that work together there and are always very friendly and great, prompt service. we eat here at least once a week. if i had one suggestion it would be to offer more appetizer options like salad or tuna tataki but all in all my favorite place in victoria :)

favorite spot in victoria. for so many reasons. about 5 tables, never particularly busy. one sushi chef on a mission. modest and clean, unbelievable food.

had the most bizarre experience at maiko today. we tried to go there for lunch today at about 1230pm, i had a friend with me from out of town and had been bragging about how amazing the sushi was. it is a tiny restaurant and was reasonably busy, 2 tables of 4 patrons, 1 table of 2 patrons and 2 patrons at the sushi bar. we sat at the bar and in a few minutes the server came up to us and asked us to leave and come back in 35 to 40 minutes as they were too busy with take out orders and customers to serve us. it was quite awkward and somewhat embarrassing. it was one of my favourite sushi places in langford but after today, i will not be back.

best bang for your dollar for consistent decent sushi! great for take-out! friendly and prompt service! we get some about once a week and have never been disappointed.
