"bad italy". we waited for 20 minutes to get drinks, 20 more minutes we waited to order. food still not even here after almost an hour. the service is horrible. the waiter is complaining that they set him too many tables. we had to get our own bread, oil and water! so disappointing since we are here to celebrate a birthday. the worst ever!

quality of food - poor, service went down, inconsitent.... so totally not worth any type of wait. all they have going for them is the mall and hence so full. i used to eat here and it used to be good (past tense). portions shrunk, food lost quality control and employees can't keep up with the crowds. the maggiano sald used to have chunks of blue cheese and prosciutto - now its a hide and go seek mission...the entrees used to come out hot and pleanty to go around - now the chicken francese wasn't even enough for my friends 2 kids - (no, they are big eaters nor are they big kids) supposedly 2 chicken breasts can be eaten by 3-4 adults. really? can't believe they are full...this is not good italian people...

pretty good. parking was horrible. wait was long. service left alot to be desired. they didn't seem to have enough staff for the customers.
they did have a good deal for appetizer, 2 class pasta, 2 class pasta to go (total of 4 pasta dishes), and dessert for $40. that was a good deal. their a/c was broken so i was sweating like crazy. it did not make the dining experience go too well.
i eventually quit eating because i was too hot. went outside and ate dessert.
i would go back only for the pasta meal specials.

epic restaurant fail.. i've been to several maggiano's locations throughout the midwest. their food is, no-doubt, delicious. the restaurant atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated. it has all the bells and whistles that make it a classy joint with a great menu.

i was a fan.

my husband and i were treated to dinner at maggiano's on 86th st. by another couple that joined us. our server was clearly 'in the weeds' - he seemed a bit frantic and rushed. long after placing our order, we finally received our house salads. as i begin to eat my salad and share conversation, i can't seem to spear my salad. i scooped my fork down into the bowl, and out came an entire rubber glove that took up about 40% of the salad.

i swear to god, i thought i was on candid camera. we showed the waiter what was in my salad, and he gasped with complete disbelief, as he should have.

a manager came over, and instead of comping our entire bill and profusely apologizing, he offered us ... free dessert. that was an epic management fail on so many levels. to think that anyone would want to eat another bite of food after finding a filthy rubber glove in their food, is beyond me.

i only wish i had taken a photo of the glove. at least people would believe me.

very good. i had the chicken in cream sauce with peppers and shrimp, and a salad. the salad was the best one i have ever eaten. excellent, with fresh ingredients and very flavorful. my pasta arrived hard and dry, and i immediately asked for a replacement which arrive fresh and hot. i was only able to eat half because of the bread and salad, but had a nice lunch for the next days meal. service was a bit slow, but server was very nice, and overall a very good experience.

visitor from tallahassee. had dinner with friends last thursday. all i can say is excellent! great-tasting food and good service. not second-mortgage expensive, either. if we're in tampa again, it's on the "must" list.

the service was wonderful, but the food was definetly chain food: overpriced and underwhelming. my lobster ravioli had a terrible fishy taste, and i detected no truffle flavor in my truffle sauce. my charming waiter noticed my disatisfaction, and insisted on bringing me the chef. unfortunately, that was useless, because when i asked the chef about the ratio of truffle oil to sauce, he said, "i dunno, a few liters in a ton?" not a proper answer, but it does explain why the flavor was undetectable.

not very happy! i made reservations for 7 people at 545 and they said it would be "a few minutes extra" since we added and 8th. it has been over half an hour. if we weren't such a large party, and this wasn't my graduation celebration, i'd be gone!!! don't change your reservations if you come here!

not worth the money!. we ate "family style" between 5 people, the idea sounded great but the quality of the food was not up to par with the price we paid for it! i was disappointed to say the least. no better than olive garden in my opinion and it was much more expensive!
